Fantastic quiet oasis in bushland setting. A great place to go after Melbourne lockdown. Loved the kangaroos that visited morning and evening! Very friendly host.

The cabin was spotless. There were lots of little homely touches, like a box of tissues, hot chocolate and biscuits, which made our stay memorable. Much quieter than being on the highway. Great place to use as a base for hiking and exploring the Grampians.

Everything about it. Hospitality from the Owners was Excellent, relaxing place to come back to after adventures in Halls Gap. Highly recommended. Can't wait too go back again .

Great to have a place to accommodate the six of us. The kitchenette was great, with very thoughtful provision of tools. Everything works and is cosy, yet with enough room to feel not over-crowded. Sure, some of the things are low budget like the shower well, however it is clean and works.

Location was convenient - around 45 min drive from the hikes at Grampians national park. Facilities were as described in the pictures, with all the equipment we needed to prepare dinner. Kitchen was well-stocked (plates, utensils, salt and pepper etc). We had a comfortable stay. There was a beautiful star field on our last night. Owner was nice, helpful and friendly.

we liked that it was 2 mins out of town, peaceful and quiet . limited number of cottages means that even though they were all booked it wasn’t busy or loud . we did day hikes in the Grampians which were only 20 minutes away

6 cottages set on 3.5 acres at the edge of natural bush making Stawell Holiday Cottages the perfect location for a relaxing stay. All cottages are 2 bedroom and fully self contained with full cooking facilities. All linen is provided for your stay. The property also has a BBQ hut, free for guest use, a guest laundry with coin operated washer and dryer. There is a covered area with lighting and a gas fired pizza oven, and a seasonal solar heated salt water swimming pool. Whilst we are in the western edge of Stawell we are only 2 km's for the main highway and 2.2 km's from the town centre. Close enough to all amenities yet far enough to feel you are away from it all.
A short 15 minute drive will have you in the heart of the Grampians, with world renown waling tracks and great fishing spots, or head visit some of the best wineries the region has to offer.
Stawell has great places to eat, drink and relax. Only 3 hours from Melbourne along the Western Highway. Home of the famous foot race..."The Stawell Gift".
