STRAW HOUSE FARM B&B is a unique style of accommodation. You have 4 different accommodation styles to choose from. The 2 cottages are made of straw bales so are warm in winter, cool in summer and insulated from the outside world. You can stay in a cottage, our luxury Tiny House or our bigger family Studio. The Straw House Farm is set on 22 acres which you are welcome to explore. Take a bottle of wine, a cheese platter and something to sizzle on the fire pit or on the BBQ and make a night of it. Watch the animals play and enjoy the spectacular stars. Visit the chickens, adore an alpaca, cuddle a calf or kiss a goat (which one will you choose we have over 30, including 15 babies). This is a genuine farm experience. A big home made breakfast is included in the cost of your stay for those staying in a cottage or the Tiny House. It comprises of largely locally sourced & homemade delicious morsels including seasonal fruits, homemade muesli & banana bread, spreads, & our own egg. (Omelettes are our specialty & the corn fritters and bacon are a current hit). We deliver to your door, you can eat in bed in your PJ's or in the gardens if you prefer, or come to our sunny courtyard. The breakfast have become a little bit famous. The Studio is self catering with a full kitchen and as such does not include breakfast. Note: The tiny house is adults only and is not pet friendly. If you would like to bring a pup with you get in touch first and tell us a little about your fury friend. Friendly pups are welcome. A cost per stay applies and is payable on arrival. There really is so much to see and do, and if you are a winemakers friend, then the areas 50 cellar doors will not disappoint. There are also some spectacular places to eat. There is also much to do outside the gates of the Straw House. We are just a few minutes from not only some of the region’s best wineries, (favourites include Heritage Estate and The Summit) but also a stones throw from the Maze, Law Dogs, The Christmas Farm, Stanthorpe Cheese and Sutton’s Juice Factory, Cidery and Café with their award-winning products and the best cake, coffee, hot chocolate and apple pie around. Travel through Stanthorpe for more wineries and specialty establishments (visit our friends at some wonderful wineries including Pyramid, Symphony Hill, Jester Hill, Balancing Heart, and Twisted Gum. If you desire walk it all off at one of the region's famous national parks which include Girraween, Bald Rock and Sundowner.
