Very generous host, we had bread, free range eggs, milk, juice, fresh fruits, coffees, teas, butter, jams and many more, everything you need during your stay is just inside the cottage. Very quiet farm setting, but not far from all the attractions. Yes, it is an old cottage, like staying in your grand parents house to be honest, without bling bling modern furniture and household stuffs, but it is what it is, we really love our two night stay here, absolutely worth the money and great experience.

I enjoyed sitting on the verandah in the morning sunshine admiring the surroundings, especially when a peacock walked past! The alpacas were very cute too.

Beautifully presented inside, with a 1950's theme, period furniture, with a very comfy bed & equipped with full length bath & shower, nicely painted inside, such quiet surrounds with country views from the cottage & lovely farm eggs & country bread. Cute alpacas on the farm. Such a relaxing place to be. We would stay there again

Excellent breakfast provided. Peaceful setting. Easy access to surrounding attractions.

Lovely quiet place to relax. Very comfortable bed and generous breakfast. Ideal location for local activities, cherry & strawberry picking , lavender farm & enchanted maze garden. The girls had a lovely time in the garden and seeing the many rabbits hop by.

Charming old-style furniture with all the mod cons. Do-it-yourself breakfast was all ready when we arrived - more than enough for two - included two fresh loaves of bread. TV, books, CDs - plenty to keep you entertained and informed about the local region - and a beautiful porch with wicker chairs from where we could gaze out over the roses to a lovely view of green fields.

The rooms setup, the spread of breakfast, comfy bed and large bathroom. Also Beverley ìs very friendly and helpful.

Beverley was really sweet and made us feel right at home. Nice spacious cottage, exactly like the photos.

Good continental breakfast with local breads and a good range of cereals. A rustic old house that was very comfortable with the added bonus of Alpaca near by along with a very friendly ragdoll cat. There was also goats, horses and a wandering peacock

Summerhill was a very quaint country B&B. The continental breakfast was generous and we like being able to have it when it suited us and in our own room. The views and the property were very relaxing

The homestead was built in the 1920's (in the Edwardian style). It was relocated from Canterbury (Melbourne) to Summerhill Farm. While not slick and sophisticated, its air of faded traditional country will appeal to people with a sense of history and an appreciation of old-style decoration. The Cottage (also relocated) dates from the 1950's. It still has many original fittings, and yes, in the best vintage manner, it is a little worn around the edges. It also boasts the three "c's" - clean, comfortable and convenient. You can add "cosy" and "country" to that list.
I have always lived in the country and am a farmer by heart. When my children were young I bred Welsh ponies, but now I am now involved in the Alpaca industry. Cria (baby alpacas) are particularly appealing! In the past I travelled overseas - Europe, Asia and America - but now I enjoy welcoming guests to my part of the world.
Everyone knows the Mornington Peninsula as "Melbourne's playground", and rightly so with its beaches, wineries and numerous tourist attractions. But somehow it manages to maintain a peaceful rural quality, with undulating hills, green pasture and paddocks of ordered vineyards. It is such a beautiful area.
