AustraliaI love the location, where only the locals live (except for us in this period house/guest room) and you are only a leisurely 30 minutes drive from Anna Bay and Soldiers Point. The room where we stayed is very cosy, the windows open to a cool breeze from the bay and you can see sunrise/sunset silhouette through onto your bed. Perfect for a family of four that only wants a short stay.

It was so pretty and so relaxing and in such a beautiful and quiet spot. When we arrived the hosts were away and they had arranged for the housekeeper to meet us in person.

Built in 1831, Tanilba House is located in Tanilba Bay, 350 feet from the Port Stephens foreshore and offers unique accommodations in the original maid's quarters of the house. Guests have access to explore the extensive garden and grounds of Tanilba House.
The rooms at the property are located at the rear of the main house and include a bar fridge, microwave, toaster, tea and coffee making facilities and kitchenware. A covered dining area with a BBQ is also provided. The room offers garden views with bay views through the trees. Guests have access to private bathroom facilities separate from the room, 20 feet away.
