Perfect location with chilled vibes and great views.

We had booked very quickly several months go and had no real idea what to expect. But Tantallon was simply beautiful. A tasteful large one level apartment looking out over a stunning green valley. Our host, Geoff, was helpful. We felt right at home. There were farm laid eggs in the fridge plus toast and bacon. Smart kitchen with a variety of teas. It was exactly what we wanted for a busy wedding weekend.

Location was great, views across the rural valley, the stars on Saturday night were magnificent; there were so many added touches like real tea provided, basic support food and homegrown eggs. The host was very friendly and helpful; the room configuration allows only one family so a real sense of privacy and quiet with possible two additional double bed rooms and bath/shower provides flexibility for larger family groups.

The Owner provided all of the ingredients required for a standard breakfast and was easy to prepare in the Cabin's Kitchen which was equipped with all necessary appliances, Frypans, Saucepans, crockery, cutlery, Oven, Stove, Dishwasher, Microwave and Refrigerator.

Magnificent vista from the property which could be seen from inside as well. Nicely furnished and decorated, very relaxing location, hosts Penny and Geoff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast left for us to cook, very fresh bacon and eggs. Muesli, bread, jams milk and butter also provided. Was great.

Our stay was amazing, Jeff was a great host. Central to the town of Berry, however quiet enough to enjoy the surroundings. 2 minute drive from Berry and if you want to have a drink the cab service is really good.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hosts are super nice, the property has everything you need and more and it's very clean. The scenery around is probably one of the best sopts in Berry! And it's only 3 minutes drive to the centre. Can't recommend more! Will come back for sure!

  • Hello there! Is the private pool visible by any other adjacent property for example, or can it be seen at all by the staff? Thank you
    The pool is not visible from any neighbouring property. We do not have staff as my wife and I manage the property. You would have sole use of the pool without being observed by anyone.

  • Hi I stayed at this property about 4 years ago with friends and at that time you had 3 bedrooms. I noticed now you are only offering 1 bedroom. I'm looking to stay with a friend and need 2 bedrooms. Is this possible? Thanks Hannah
    Hi, We do have 3 bedrooms. You can make a booking and simply advise us of your needs in the text. You can pay any extra on arrival if that suits.

Tantallon was the historic seat of the Douglas’s in the Scottish Highlands. You will feel some of that highland spirit when you stay at Tantallon in Berry and gaze out at the escarpment across the gentle slopes of Bundewallah valley. It’s only a five-minute drive from the Berry township and 15 minutes from the spectacular Seven Mile Beach. So come stay and relax in one of the greenest places in Australia. Sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the many species of birds as they sail on the valley thermals. Take in the peaceful quietness of the countryside and watch the colours of the sky change as evening falls. If it’s hot, cool off in the fenced salt-water pool Tantallon, set on seven acres of sloping pastureland, is luxurious self-contained accommodation attached to the main homestead. It has its own private entrance into a spacious living and dining area with a modern fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom with a queen size bed, has a luxury en-suite, a bath for two and separate walk-in shower.
For those who wish to explore the area, bring your hiking boots – or use the two bicycles that are available. There are established walking tracks but it all depends on how energetic you are. If you prefer to stay indoors, there is digital television with Foxtel, a DVD player with an extensive collection of DVDs, a CD player and docking for an ipod or MP3 player. There are also excellent restaurants, wineries and coffee shops within a five minute drive.
