What a great find was Tegwans Nest, and perfect for our 3 night stay for 2 couples. One couple at one end of the house and the other at other end so nicely private Central kitchen, pantry & separate dining room, was extremely well set up. Cosy lounge with wood burner, and magic views from the long front deck. And did I mention how sparkling clean it is!

Tegwans Nest, is a spacious country holiday home nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Balingup with stunning wood floors, open airy living areas, cosy log fire, expansive deck with breathtaking views, and a promise of rest and relaxation, our "Happy Place". Be it relaxing on the deck with a glass of red, soaking it all in, or helping yourself to the seasonal orchards, 'a chat' to the Alpacas, or simply taking long bush walks in the nearby natural forests, there is plenty to do and see.
We have lived and traveled extensively, but can safely say that Tegwan's Nest in Balingup is one of the most beautiful spots that we have come across. It stole our hearts. You can see from the reviews that our guests have had the same experience. Balingup is magical, particularly in the mornings. We love the animals, from feeding the Alpacas to catching the frogs in the pond, the board games, the orchards, the wild flowers, the pure air, or sometimes just having a picnic at sunset soaking in the sounds.
Balingup is a rural area of rolling green hills filled with the sounds of farms and the sweet country life. Balingup is in the Blackwood River Valley, surrounded by many interesting attractions such as the Golden Valley Tree Park, National Forests, famous walks like the Bibbulmun Track, speciality shops, vineyards and in the not too distant valleys, the Margaret River region and the stunning beaches of Geographe Bay. And for the modern traditionals there is plenty to do like golf, climbing, hiking, 4x4 trails, canoeing, tennis, squash, bowls, and the list goes on... And when all is said and done, there is a great coffee shop just down the road called The Daily Grind.
