1770 Beach Accommodation is a family owned and operated business run by Richard and Jo, who took the plunge and took this business over in December 2023, after falling in love with the area on various holidays to the beautiful Agnes Water & 1770. We specialise in holiday property letting and are a buyer's advocate for Agnes Water & 1770. We hope that our guests fall in love with the area the way we did, and will always want to return.

The Gallery is a stunning beach hideaway with spectacular views, situated on the foreshores of the beautiful, historic bay of 1770, the birthplace of Queensland where Captain Cook landed all those years ago. A leisurely stroll to the beautiful parkland, cafe, pub, Marina and beaches. A 10 minute drive to Agnes Water, where guests can find cafes, pubs, and other amenities, as well as the pristine five kilometre long Agnes Water Surf Beach. Pets are welcome for an additional fee, please get in touch. The property is unfenced, there is a gate at the top of the stairs on the upper level of the house to contain pets. Given the location of the house and the flora and fauna around the property, it is possible that some wildlife (bugs, insects, birds, frogs) may frequent on the verandah and in garden areas. Please be advised that The Gallery has a steep, uneven 14-step walk from the parking area to the house. The parking is accessed via an incline. The lower part of the house does not have internal access to the upper part of the house, the staircase is outside. Unfortunately, the property is not suited to wheelchair users or mobility impaired guests. Wi-Fi is available. Please note that Vodafone does not operate in the area and that other mobile networks can be limited/patchy in Agnes Water & 1770.

The area is surrounded by National Parks, pristine waterways and long stretches of unspoiled beaches which front onto the Coral Sea. Along the headlands of Seventeen Seventy visitors are offered amazing panoramic views across Bustard Bay, the estuary & creeks. We enjoy an excellent year-round climate with Queensland’s northernmost surf beach at Agnes Water for surfing and beach activities. Along the Bay at 1770 you can walk along the parklands and enjoy kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding. It is a short drive to the variety of cafes & boutique shops in the Agnes Water shopping Village or walk down to the beautiful Agnes Water surf beach for a leisurely day along the water. A vibrant Sunday morning market takes place every second weekend.
