It was kind of Jan to allow us to change our booking slightly given the time we were meant to arrive was during a storm. Overall highly recommended

The complete experience was exceptional, the walks, the room, the view, the service and the perfect place to feel away from home and be self isolated. My partner ended up having emergency dental surgery and the owners checked in to see how the patient was doing. Would have stayed longer if we could but we aim to come back very soon hopefully. It was exactly what we needed nature, peace and quiet. Very grateful for discovering this place and a big thank you to Jan and all her team.

    No refund offered. If Kangaroo Valley is locked down due to covid at the time of a booked stay the deposit would be put towards new dates.

  • How far is the fire pit from the accommodation?
    There is a fire pit right out the front of each cottage on the grass, within 10-20 metres, depending on which cottage you are staying in.

The Heavens is an exclusive, secluded retreat for couples with 2 luxury spa cottages tucked away up the mountain and a 2 bedroom cottage suitable for 1 or 2 couples or a family of 4 beside our pig Kevin, alpacas and goats. We offer spectacular views and the property abounds in wildlife with 100s of eastern grey kangaroos, dozens of common wallaroos, swamp wallabies, echidnas and several wombats grazing right up to the cottage verandahs. We currently have a herd of 13 alpacas and a dozen goats, and a free ranging flock of ducks, chickens and guinea fowl who are very 'guest friendly'. And our handsome pig Kevin Bacon who has featured in the first 2 series of Village Vets on Foxtel Lifestyle channel, loves a scratch behind his ears.
Since making Kangaroo Valley our home in 2004, my family and I are literally in 'Heaven.' Kangaroo Valley has a wonderful inclusive community and our guests enjoy contact with our many characters in the village. We love caring for our farm animals and the visiting wildlife and myriad of birds on our property are a joy for our city and international guests.
There are many things to do in and around Kangaroo Valley. Canoeing, tennis, bike riding, swimming, golf, bushwalking in Morton National Park, shopping and wine tasting are all activities that you can enjoy within a 15 minute drive of The Heavens. Alternatively, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the property, making sure to introduce yourselves to the inquisitive alpacas, friendly goats and abundant wildlife!
