The O Retreat is about 40 minutes out of Hobart just outside a small town called Middleton. The setting is absolutely beautiful, fantastic views, lots of wildlife, extremely peaceful and very private. The house was a great size for our two families, quite spacious for our 10 people in total, the kitchen was well fitted out and there is heaps of parking. We were provided with a good supply of breakfast food for our first morning which was great.

This property is a 12-minute walk from the beach. The O retreat is located in Middleton Southern Tasmania on a secluded hill top with magnificent ocean views, surrounded by forest and native wildlife and overlooking Bruny Island and the D'entrecasteaux Channel, 25 mi from Hobart.
The property has gorgeous rooms, 2 sundecks, a private viewing balcony, a spa bath, 2 living/lounge areas and 1 dinning area with seating for 10 guests. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property and free private parking is available on site.

Middleton is a quiet and peaceful rural town, with lots of views of the sea and the lovely green fields that only the Huon can provide. it close to amazing beaches has rich local produce and plenty of places to visit including Bruny island, art trail and cygnet folk festival.
The area has an abundance of Wildlife, Orchards, Vineyards, Restaurants, Cafes, Cheeseries and local stores. Middleton itself has a local store, boat ramp and many nice beaches , with children's play area. The Channel has an abundance of fish, with a good supply of Flathead!
One day you will be delighted with the antics of a pod of dolphins as they leaped and played in the sparkling waters. Another day, when it rains, you will be treated to the sight of wooded hills wreathed in mist, and that's when you can played cards and other games.
The Retreat nestles in Middleton on a small hill with magnificent ocean view across the D'Entrecasteaux Channel to Bruny Island and set amongst expansive and stunning forest and garden in Southern Tasmania. Its about 50 km (45 mins drive) south of Hobart, is the perfect location to start your Southern Tasmanian experience.
