Great beds comfortable lounge set ups, lovely extras provided for b n b, tranquil and good position cloe to beach and shops

We had a fabulous time. so peaceful and relaxing walking distance to beach and town. the bed was lovely and comfy. Provisions for a cooked breaky was provided with a lovely fresh loaf of bread for us too. We had a log fire and a spar with the bottle of wine they left for us too. definitely would go there again but take the dog too next time.

We often come to Robe and it was in easy walking distance from the Main Street. We had great fresh bread and pastries within easy strolling in the morning. Having a stocked pantry was a nice surprise and lots of hot water.

The position was great, the home felt very welcoming, comfortable and provided more than we required. All the little touches were appreciated.

Breakfast provisions were good, cleanliness & proximity to the main street & beaches.

We loved the quiet street combined with how close it was to everything. House was spotless with lots of extras. We had such a lovely stay 😊

Bed was comfy, location perfect close to shops and nearby beach area

It was a very good location, easy to walk anywhere around the main town and quite close to the beach. Comfortable beds and very good working combustion heater and having it set up ready for us when we arrived late there was very good because all we had to do was light a match to it. Finally, the spa bath was awesome and spacious for two people.

You'll feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The Shelter is located centrally in the town and is a short walk to beaches, galleries, cafes and restaurants. The Shelter caters for all your needs with a complete kitchen including full size fridge, dishwasher and basic pantry items for your convenience. You will find a complimentary bottle of Limestone Coast wine and provisions for a full breakfast on your first morning plus a choice of cereals for subsequent mornings. There is a generous selection of teas and coffee including Robe's own Mahalia Blend No2. There are two living areas each with a flat screen TV. An extensive range of books and magazines are available for your enjoyment. There are comfortable queen beds in two of the bedrooms made up with crisp quality linen. There are two bathrooms - one ensuite- making The Shelter ideal for 2 couples. You only need to bring your beach towels. The third bedroom has a single and a trundle bed to accommodate a family group. There is a BBQ for outdoor cooking and an outdoor setting for meals in the warmer weather. The back garden is fenced if you're travelling with pets. We hope you enjoy staying at The Shelter.
We are parents and grandparents and we live inland from Robe on a delightful property as we are also farmers growing prime lambs for the domestic market. We believe life is for living and we are always on the go one way or another. We like sharing our beach house with others so they have the opportunity to get to know the Robe we love. There's nothing better than sharing food, wine and good times with friends and family, and we also love camping in the outback, travelling along the coast and overseas. As private pilots we are fortunate to travel extensively throughout Australia. Variety being the spice of life we really enjoy going to the theatre and films when in the city. Golf is a hobby of Annie's and she's forever hoping to improve. Community is important to us as country people and we both hold a few positions on various committees. You reap what you sew.
Robe abounds with interesting things and places to see and do. The history of Robe is demonstrated in the Customs House and the Chinese Memorial as well as the self guided walks along the historic streets. The fishing fleet bring home the famous Southern Rock Lobsters in season,October-May. The many galleries offer unique shopping and the general retail outlets have an excellent range of apparel and homewares. Robe boasts the Mahalia coffee roasting house and also the Robe Brewery. Both should be sampled. Wineries abound in Robe, Mt Benson, Coonawarra and Wrattonbully so a great opportunity to sample their wares and replenish your stocks. Perhaps you prefer to take a picnic out to Little Dip National Park and in the summer months a trip out to the back beaches is a must but only if you have a 4WD. Robe is a great place to base yourself for trips to other attractions not the least of which is the World Heritage listed Naracoorte Caves. If you're stuck for something to do pop into the Visitor Information Centre. The girls in there have all the information you will need to make the most of your stay in Robe.
