Dawn and Bruce were wonderful hosts. A beautiful bush view from our bedroom window. Ample off-street, onsite parking. A short 15-20 minute drive to downtown Newcastle and 40 minutes to the Hunter wine country. Excellent TV reception that included Netflix and YouTube TV. Very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was fantastic especially the eggs benedict. A great place to return to after a long day in the city or the wineries. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

It was a pleasure staying at this property, it is a nice accomodation, with delicious breakfast and excellent service. They offer complementary fruit, chocolates and coffee in the room. Staff is kind and helpful. The rooms are nicely done and very comfortable to stay in. The sleep quality was excellent. Everything about the accomodation was worth the price tag. The parking space for vehicle was much appreciated. The hostess went above and beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy. I recommend it without a doubt. Overall the experience was brilliant and we enjoyed the weekend getaway a lot. We will definitely stay there again.

  • I see there's a kitchenette as a feature. Just wanted to clarify, does that mean it has a stove-top to cook food on, pots and pans? That's something I am looking for.
    The two Queen rooms share very limited cooking facilities. 1 saucepan, a portable hot plate, an electric frypan, microwave, BBQ and toaster. The Family suite has tea and coffee facilities, a microwave and a BBQ. I hope this helps. Warm regards, Dawne

  • Hi there, just wondering if the rooms have air conditioning? We are looking at staying 2 nights 12th and 13 March.
    Hi, The two Queen rooms both have air conditioners as well as the common rooms. The Family suite has an air conditioner in the main bedroom, a fan in the small bedroom and ducted air conditioning controlled by us in the living areas as well as fans.

Valley View Bed and Breakfast is a little bit of country in the middle of the city. Our B&B is the perfect place for a romantic getaway, or to revive after a busy week. Guests will enjoy complimentary afternoon tea on arrival and a three course breakfast the following morning, either served alfresco or in the guest dining room. Located amongst trees and bird life, our aim is to make our guests feel spoiled.
We have lived in the Cardiff area for over twenty years where we have brought up our two boys and our two miniature fox terriers. We enjoy gardening and entertaining. After a day in the garden we love relaxing on the deck, enjoying the view. We feel so lucky to live in such a unique environment that we can't wait to share it with guests.
Valley View bed and breakfast is located on three undulating acres at Cardiff Heights, a suburb of Lake Macquarie. Our home is within a ten minute drive to three major shopping centres, which include cinemas. Short drive to Warners Bay where you will find an ice skating rink, ten-pin bowling, indoor swimming centres, cafes, restaurants, and the beautiful lake foreshore. A 5 minute drive will find you at Blackbutt Reserve, where you can experience koala encounters and further explore Australia's wildlife. Twenty minutes will take you to one of Newcastle's famous beaches. Close to Newcastle Entertainment Centre, John Hunter Hospital, Hunter Sports Centre, and a 35 minute drive to the Hunter Valley Vineyards. We are located within walking distance ( 1.5 km ) of Cardiff train station and strolling distance of two bus routes.
