It had been 12 years since I had been in Ulverstone, I noticed a big difference newer buildings, the new bridge, The Hive which every visiter should visit. Leven Antiques-I always visit that shop, and buy something. In fact the Antique Fair was on and a bought a beautiful Vintage Ring.
I travelled alone and had a room which contained a single bed and a queen size bed therefore my room was quite large, great!
I had a fabulous lunch at Westin on Windows, just out of Ulverstone. A Thai Restaurant was good.

Ulverstone is scenic and restful, with some good cafes and eateries. It is a typical Tasmanian coastal town with an interesting history and some exciting new features, such as a local vineyard and wharf precinct.

I was a local many years ago and I love coming back home, lots to see beaches are a must, local seafood restaurant is still amazing.
People are friendly a nice spot to relax
Ulverstone is easy to get around make sure you include Ulverstone in your Tassie stay.
A lovely restored home in the heart of Ulverstone, with beautifully renovated rooms and lovely ensuites. The lovely breakfast was a real treat as well. The underfloor heating in the bathrooms was a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed the beautiful garden which was in full bloom when we visited in late September. A quick walk along the river into town for dinner was a lovely way to finish the day
Breakfast was basic but adequate.
We only saw the manager who seemed to be across all days and hours and multi tasking. She's always polite and helpful and very fast to respond whenever we needed help. Amazing customer service.
Rooms are clean and well maintained for the most part.
We have 4 children and the family room is perfect for all of us. We all slept well.
Kim and Anthony were the most pleasurable and friendly hosts , the accommodation was set up above and beyond they have thought of everything to make your stay so stress free and enjoyable ,location was tranquil and scenic but still close enough to Ulverstone town centre but also other nearby towns in NW region
Even had some entertainment happen on the river :)
Excellent location and beautiful home and yard with everything we needed. Bonus points for being dog freindly. The house is close to Penguin, Ulverstone and the delights of the North West Coast. Terrific veiw looking out to sea and Goat Island. Great communication from the owner. We had a lovely stay at this house with our dogs.
We loved stayed at Goat Island Bungalow. The self-contained cottage was 5 star in comfort and luxury. Being able to sit out the back and watch the ocean was so very relaxing. All kitchenware was provided and it was easy to access local shops for groceries. Thank you to our host for this amazing stay.
Doug and Christine were terrific hosts! They are super friendly, kind and offer a fantastic experience as they share all their knowledge of Tasmania. It is a perfect stop if you are travelling around the area and would like to know the amazing little secrets, such as how to get to see penguins!
Location - quiet and convenient location on the west side of Ulverstone, short walk to shops/CBD. Overlooking the river with a walking path directly outside. Easy access to highway.
Facilities - very nice and well maintained apartment. Friendly staff.
Would stay here again.
On arrival the host was very friendly and welcoming. The cleanliness of the accommodation was amazing. I do not believe I have stayed in a more well kept place before. The location and view were fantastic. It was just a short walk to shopping and facilities.
their hospitality was fantastic, their extra touches made it very special the room and especially the breakfast was wonderful, they were very accommodating truly great hosts, would highly recommend their B& B and them as hosts excellent stay
The apartment is fully wheelchair accessible with a great bathroom. My son had no problems getting around the apartment in his electric wheelchair. The deck on the waterfront is fantastic and would be great for a bbq in the warmer months.
Beautiful location overlooking the River and close to all the shops, cafes and restaurants in Ulverstone. Apartment was very well equipped with plentiful supplies of all the cooking essentials needed. We would certainly return.
In centrum of Ulverstone, close to many restaurants.
Very quiet location, free car parking available.
Full bathroom with deep bath.
Close to Sunday markets in Penguin with live music and plenty of craft
Great WIFI
Our stay at Ulverstone River Retreat was fabulous. Hosts Kim and Anthony were very friendly and welcoming and the facilities were great, there wasn't anything missing in a very quiet but pleasant location
This home is beautiful and in a perfect position to walk to the town of Ulverstone or the beach or the lovely parks there
Also a good place to explore the area of penguin burnie and even Stanley
great location, room clean and modern , staff friendly, great walking distance around town , we had dinner at the hotel which was great and very popular, highly recommend staying at the hotel
No breakfast was available due to renovations. That was no problem as Ulverstone has many cafes. The unit was great, comfortable beds, lovely linen and towels.
