Yanakie is a small area near the entrance to the Wilson Promontory Park. It has a pizza restaurant and garage/general store. A good place to get accommodation for exploring the Prom if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the Tidal River site. Not much to say. Close to beautiful Wilsons Prom. Has a good Local pizza shop with a general store and Petrol station. The guy in the general store was rude and grumpy. The peace and quiet was terrific would have liked a few more days. The cabin had everything you would need and the bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed our week end very much. Thankyou to James and Sandra great hosts.

It’s a lovely peaceful little town.
It’s a lovely peaceful little town. The general store is lovely with great service. It is more isolated then I realised so should have planned to food shop prior as the general store has limited hours.

During our stay we had an enjoyable walk around Duck Point, some challenging but scenic hikes including My Oberon and Mt Bishop, and time relaxing on the lovely beaches near Tidal River.DavidAustralia

Our cabin was comfortable, clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed. It was a quiet, relaxing place to stay with lovely gardens and large expanse of lawn. About 5-10 mins walk away is the Yanakie General Store so easy access to supplies. The room could easily sleep two people as the bed was quite large. A fridge and kettle were also present.
