Although Baku has the potential to grow and be a nice...
Although Baku has the potential to grow and be a nice destination to visitors from abroad, a lot of Azerbaijanis are very desperate for cash. You could be surprised, but there are different menu options in almost all businesses. One is for locals and another for visitors. And this is not the issue really, rather this is how the system is separating locals from visitors. Discrimination is a respected value of the culture.
First and last time forever Baku.

Baku is a stunning destination, boasting incredible scenery...
Baku is a stunning destination, boasting incredible scenery just outside the city limits. We traveled at an ideal time with perfect weather, which made our explorations of the scenic landscapes, cultural landmarks, and historical sites even more enjoyable. The city offers an array of shopping opportunities, diverse culinary options, and plenty of activities to engage with.
However, interacting with the locals presented some challenges, as many were not particularly welcoming to tourists and few spoke English. For getting around, Bolt provided exceptionally cheap taxi fares, and for those preferring to drive, Karavan rentals are highly recommended—just be prepared for a driving experience that can be trying, despite the excellent roads; local drivers often don’t adhere to traffic rules.
While Shah Plov, considered the national dish, didn’t meet our expectations, the kebabs, grills, and breads were delightfully delicious and shouldn't be missed.
For unique experiences, the Alpaca farm in Shamakhy offered a charming escape, and the visually striking Candy Cane Mountains were a highlight of our trip. Adventure seekers should definitely include a visit to Shahdag for its thrilling outdoor activities.
When shopping for souvenirs and sweets, you'll find that prices are significantly cheaper outside the city, offering great bargains alongside a more authentic selection. Remember, when shopping, bargaining is key to securing the best deals. Despite some hitches, Baku’s mix of modern amenities and rich historical tapestry provided a memorable getaway.

Baku is an ideal route for a two-day stay.
Baku is an ideal route for a two-day stay. Gasoline is the cheapest price. . You can download and use the Bolt application for transportation. Azeri cuisine is normally very rich and delicious, but the restaurants could not meet this expectation in a way that I do not understand. The city is beautiful, it resembles European cities. Two days is ideal for exploring on foot.
Really elegant boutique hotel right in the heart of downtown Baku, with a feel of grandness to it. The staff were helpful on check in and helped me sort out a very early morning taxi when I left, which was cheaper than I had expected. The room was a good size, with the small elegance as the rest of the hotel and the whole place was very clean. The absolute best bit was the rooftop restaurant for breakfast though, with hanging plants, singing birds and great views of the Flame Towers and the city roofs. That was amazing on sunny days!
The friendly helping staff and perfect location right on nizami street opposite starbucks coffee, about 30m fountain square,KFC,Macdonald,Pizza Hut,StarBucks Coffee,Pual Coffee, 3 Indian Resturant, Indian Hyderabadi resturant, Shourma House, Baku Corniche walking, Baku boulevard, old city famous double gate all in 50 to 100m circle of this Hotel. Equal 7*. come down from the hotel and you are on Nizami Street. i recommended to all. you will see by your eyes when visit to nizami st. you will believe on my every words.
Location! Location! Location! It’s the best in the heart of the old city Baku.. Behind the hotel there’s strings of cafe and near Nizami Street for shopping, restaurants and night life!!
Hotel Staff Jaafar and Eiman complimentary upgrade our room from twin bed to a king bedroom upon checking in. A great hospitality and great service provided by the hotel management. Excellent cleanliness!! Thank you!! It will never be our last.. A memorable hotel to stay in the near future ☺️
The location is perfect for enjoying the city. The suite room is the best one in the Hotel and the staff is superb especially Farid who helped us with airport transfers and Shahdag transfers. The balcony is perfect to sit out and have a cup of coffee. There are stairs to reach the hotel so it's a good idea to remember that, the staff help you with the luggage on stairs and have a lift for the luggage too. A great place to enjoy our stay in Baku.
Excellent hotel. Great service
The room was very spacious, clean, and had the amenities we needed. Breakfast was delicious and with many choices. The people at the reception were very helpful, not just on check-in and check-out, but also in giving directions to spots. The location is great for money - close to Old City by ride if it`s not rush hour. I would recommend to friends, and will definitely stay again if I`m back to Baku.
The staff was outstanding from the young lady at the front desk who went well above and beyond to Kamran the driver who toured our family of six for 11 hours on one day and timely trip to the airport the next. 100% top service! The rooms (3) were a bit small but the location was ideal.. in the Old City and a few minute walk to the "hot spot" restaurants and night life. I would certanly use this hotel on any trip to Baku.
The comfortable atmosphere of the hotel is reflected in its location that is in the heart of Baku , 150 metres from the sea.You can easily walk on foot from The old City to Nizami street.Everything is available. The service is great. The staff is helpful, caring and intelligent.
Each room, furnished in accordance with the most refined styles to offer elegance and comfort. The hotel left wonderful impressions.
We visited Baku for the Formula 1. The hotel was great about arranging a taxi for us from the airport and meeting us outside the old city to guide us to the hotel. The front desk was very helpful with any questions we had. The hotel has a restaurant at the top which serves food 24/7 - this was great when we arrived late the first night. Rooms were very big, clean and fairly quiet.
Excellent location of the hotel in the old city, not far from the fountain square and the boulevard. Nice and clean room, friendly staff who are always ready to help. Breakfast is served on the top floor with a beautiful view of Baku, quite a varied breakfast for different preferences. I can say with confidence that I will choose this hotel again on my next business trip.
The rooms were super clean, more than 5 star hotel
cozy hotel , the location is near everything
there is large kids park in front of the hotel.
coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets.
the breakfast was fresh and tasty , like homemade
i would thank the manager Natalie for helping and guiding us
for sure if we come back to baku , I won’t hesitate to stay there again
The location is a bit far, its could be counted as both the good and bad part about this hotel.
Good so that its away from the city centre traffic / crowd. Bad that it takes a bit of time to get to the city. However you can easily get taxis/ bolts for for less than 5 USD to the city.
The rooms are VERY spacious. The breakfast is not the best but its okay.
I strongly recommend this hotel. I have stayed in the warmest hotel in Baku, and the service is very good. The room is in traditional Azerbaijani style, and when I came back at night, I also brought me fruit plates. It was very thoughtful, and it was very quiet in the ancient city. I hope to stay at this hotel again next time in Baku
One of the best hotels at baku. We stayed for 6 nights and it was perfect experience. The staff for reception, room service and restaurant are so kind and professional, food & breakfast are delicious and it’s worth to try it. Room service is prefect and they take immediate actions. Rate is 10/10 and we will comeback ♥️
Baku, a charming city.. with an even more charming hotel, is what I would like to call ‘ART CLUB’. loved each and every element of the hotel.. from deco to service, everthing was exceptionally good 😍. highly recommended, the property is in the middle of the old city as well.
A small beautiful hotel in Baku, Staff are super friendly Rooms are super clean daily cleaning service is provided. It is a bit far from Nizami Street and old city But it is easy to go to it through the Bolt application, at a symbolic price of approximately 3 manats.
The property is centrally-located in the Old City which is close to most of the main sights in Baku. The hotel is excellent value for money, but very basic.
