De zithoek is ook zeer gezellig en bij mooi weer is het privé dakterras echt top, met uitzicht op het daken van de oude aanpalende huisjes. Ook een zeer vriendelijke ontvangst door de gastheer en een zeer volledige uitleg van het ganse gasthuis. TOP, je voelt je er direct thuis.

Je krijgt een code van de deur waarmee je dag en nacht in de accommodatie kunt, er is geen nachtklok. De accommodatie is op loopafstand van het historische centrum. Erg fijne gastheer, hij heeft moeite gedaan een verblijf te creëren die van alle gemakken is voorzien.

De Vlamynckpoort is located on the first and second floors of a renovated 16th century Bruges mansion. The apartment can be rented with one, two or three bedrooms. Renting just one room is also possible. On the upper floor, there is a penthouse in loft style, from where you can enjoy a unique view over part of Bruges city centre, with its numerous historical buildings, towers, treetops, etc. The penthouse consists of:
•An open kitchen with dining area (equipped with ceramic hob, microwave, conventional oven + grill, espresso machine, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, etc.); all kitchen utensils are provided, you don’t need to bring anything with you;
•A pleasant bar adjacent to the open kitchen, with a delightful roof garden overlooking the rooftops of Bruges;
•This romantic garden has a landscaped ‘green’ roof, a spacious roof terrace and a surround planting of clematis and ivy. There is also a good selection of terrace furniture (in nice weather you can have breakfast under a bright morning son) and… plenty of privacy;
•A sitting area with a large LED-TV (with an extensive range of digital channels available)
•Unique atmospheric lighting in the loft part
Hi, my name is Bernard. I am running the Vlamynckpoort together with my wife Katrien. In daily life, Katrien is a sales engineer with Agilent (which is an American company). I have my own Accountancy firm LCI, together with my son Laurens.
You will stay in the centre of Bruges, which is an art city par excellence and a UNESCO world heritage site. De Vlamynckpoort is located within walking distance of the Markt (Market Square) and is therefore the ideal operating base for an active exploration of the historic inner city, a peaceful walk along the numerous addresses where you can enjoy an extensive breakfast, an excellent lunch or a festive dinner. You will also find bakeries, supermarkets and delicatessen in the neighbourhood.
