A very creative interior design of a 600 year old house. But up to the minute with systems. Great location in the midst of historic Brugge.

We thought the breakfast was good and was a well balanced meal. Frederick made all the guests feel at home and provided us with some historical context. I thought the chocolates when arriving were a nice touch.

If you want a authentic location and building for your stay in Brugge, this is the place. If you want a large lobby and hotel bar, then maybe this is not a good choice. Our group loved it. You want an authentic place to stay in Brugge, stay here.

House De Zomere is one of the five oldest houses in medieval Bruges, built even before Columbus reached the shores of America. It shimmers with more than 500 years of history and culture. For the first time in its history, the protected monument is now open to guests.
The house De Zomere is Frederik's birthplace. He lived there throughout his childhood with his two brothers and both his parents. In 1980, the house was renovated for the first time. 35 years later, Frederik decided to return there and convert it into a B&B. The works took 3 years and graphic designer Frederik left his mark in every nook and cranny. Each of the 5 guest rooms bears the name of a resident from his childhood.
House De Zomere stands right between Bruges' three great towers, barely 3 minutes' walk from the Grote Markt, the heart of Bruges. The garden house in the unique city garden can accommodate 10 bicycles. All the city's main attractions are within walking distance.
