Brussels is well-known as the headquarters of many European institutions and is often called the capital of Europe. However, Belgian waffles, beer and chocolate are just a few of the city’s best-known delicacies that can rival its political reputation.
French and Dutch are the city’s two official languages, so all streets and landmarks have two different names: don’t be surprised when you look for Grand Place and end up at Grote Markt!
Don’t miss the famous bronze, aptly named Manneken Pis statue or the futuristic Atomium, a truly unique architectural creation. Wandering through side streets to discover small bookshops, romantic cafés and ethnic restaurants reveals Brussels's charm.
Brussels is a real melting pot of Europe, filled with great museums and art from Memling, Bosch or Rubens, historic breweries and great concert halls. Shopping addicts can visit the world’s first shopping mall, the Saint Hubert Gallery, opened here in 1847.
If you’re arriving at Brussels Airport or South Charleroi Airport, all major attractions are just a short train or bus ride away. Whether you’re looking for a design hotel, a comfortable apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has something perfect for your trip to Brussels.
Brussels has it all. A free guided walk was great for finding all the lovely places in the centre. Everything was so close together, and easily reached on foot. The Grand-Place was spectacular, especially flood-lit at night. So many historical places to visit with excellent museums and art galleries. Seeing the Flemish masters in the flesh was a dream come true. Beers and cheeses to suit all tastes. Wide choice of restaurants and sandwich shops at reasonable prices. We found some delicious Italian places to enjoy wine and pasta in the evenings. All sorts of shops and things to buy as souvenirs. Brussels works on all levels. I'll be back.

Easy city to navigate with great public transport.
Easy city to navigate with great public transport. Lovely and friendly people who made the stay much more welcoming.
Would recommend the following locations:
Coffee: Corica Grand Place
Restaurant: Zotte Mouche (Vol au vent, Carbonnade a la flamande are both highly recommended and I can personally guarantee the recommendations uphold the standard) Everything we ordered was delicious
Bars: "Delirium Village" has everything you need from upbeat music of different genres for all types of crowds to lots and lots of beer!
If you're looking for something a bit more relaxed you can visit "A la mort subite"
Will definitely come back in the future!

The Grande Place is a must see, but is usually filled with visitors taking photographs. The area around it is quaint with lots of narrow streets with setts (cobbles) so pulling a suitcase around is tiring. The shopping malls are worth a visit, with coffee shops and chocolate shops in plentiful supply.
The royal palaces are not as grand as those in England.
A ride on a 38 bus from the Central Station drops you at the European Parliament, which was fascinating, even for a Brexiteer.

Plenty of great coffee shops and restaurants to try in Brussels - you also have to try the waffles, chocolate and chips. There is a great food market called WOLF that has loads of different places to eat. Very walkable city with lots to see and the transport is excellent. We took a day trip by train to Ghent - Bruges was also within travelling distance for a day trip. Highly recommend a weekend break in Brussels.

For myself, a night and a full day is enough to spend in Brussels, Besides the Grande Place and the Mannekin Pis (a bit overrated) - I always enjoy going to the art museum there. It is a nice city to finish up a trip because it has a very nice airpoirt to fly out of.

Brilliant city.
Brilliant city. Out of season avoids crowds but so much to see and do within city plus I cannot recommend highly enough the Herge museum, about an hour on the train from Brussels, especially if you love Tintin.
Also away from the tourist areas there are some excellent places to eat and drink with good value for money. Le Lombard fabby bar and value for money food. Service is good too. Just a little more costly is Les Cercle des Voyageurs. Fantastic interior, staff and service, fabulous food and drink and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend booking.
This is a rather unusual and atmospheric hotel, placed on top of an extremely lively (separate) bar and restaurant, where you also get breakfast. It has a strongly boutique/Bohemian vibe and is in a fantastic location for the Grand Place, Bourse, and most of Central Brussels. The breakfast is served in the Israeli/Arab restaurant, where the staff (not part of the hotel as such) were absolutely sweet and very accommodating, providing unusual Middle Eastern dishes to go with the more normal coffee, bread rolls and orange juice
We stayed in Urban Yard Hotel only for a night during our traveling from Bruges. The hotel is really nice, freshly renovated, and clean. Just bear in mind that it's not Belgian authentic if you are looking for something like that.
It's near the train station Brussel-Zuid/Midi which for us was really important because we traveled by train from Bruges and also with Flibco airport shuttle, which also stops at Brussels Midi station. It is also pretty close to the center around 10 minutes of walking.
So close to everything - Brussels Centraal is only around the corner, meaning a train to and from the airport is so viable. Less than a 25 minute walk to grand place, meaning you don’t have to get buses or taxis to and from town. The staff were all lovely, and the room was great. Rooms Aircon was brilliant - really needed it in the heat that was over there. All round great stay and super affordable, only payed half the price of any other similar quality hotel.
The team was very nice and helpful. The location is Ok, only 15 minutes walk from ‘grand place’. The area itself where the hotel
Is located, is not the best, but is OK. We liked very much the parking which was offered by the hotel so our car could be parked safely (it was 31/12/23 when we were there, so lots of people in Brussels and there were some fireworks in the street, luckily this stopped after 1.30 pm).
The President Brussels Hotel is situated close to the North Station and cca. 15 minute walk from city center of Brussels. The room is clean and comfortable, the breakfast is fair. Fitness room is in the building. Fridge and water heater are in the room. The staff is friendly and professional. The price is acceptable considering the neighboring hotels.
The staff at Slina were very welcoming and hospitable. They were very accommodating by letting us check in early and changing the bed in our room from two singles to a double. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Best of all it was a close walk (15 min.) to the center of Brussels. Very basic hotel but great for a quiet and comfortable stay.
Hotel was great, staff was friendly and my room was just big enough for myself alone. Some people mentioned they were small but I did not experience such lack of space at all. Location was good enough for the price, it is around 25 min. to center if to be walked. Overall, I will definitely consider staying in this place again if I visit Brussels.
Location location location! The hotel is a minute away from Brussels Central Station and a stroll away from Grand Place. Top location for easy access to the city and moving around. Direct connection to Airport Brussels.
The hotel has a flair of traditional hotels which in European cities is unique. It is classic, not pretentious. I like it.
Super friendly and kind staff, the best staff ever. The hotel is new and you can notice, everything is clean and super comfortable. The location is amazing, close to the Grand Place and to everything in Brussels. Breakfast was super good, the best breakfast in a Holiday Inn express ever, with cheese, ham and some variety of bread and sweet.
Super close to the airport with a free shuttle service, and we were able to bike into the city center (only 20min). Staff was very helpful on transportation options and refunded my taxi from the airport to the hotel. Staff was able to accommodate us in English and Dutch.
Everything was great, the hotel staff was friendly and receptive to our demands. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel also has an interesting story. The location was not far away from the city center and was safe compared to other Brussels zones.
A very good location ( walking distance to Grand place and the Brussels Park). Nice, clean hotel, I loved the cozy breakfast area. The room was spaciouse. Great staff, polite and helpful. Good breakfast. Great choice for the price.
A good, comfortable hotel with nice ambience. Good location: a walking distance to the city center, a subway hub just in front of it, and a train station with connections to the airport is a short walk away.
The hotel has a great location. Close to the city center, main attractions, pubs, and main stores. The staff has the best customer service and they speak a few languages. The breakfast was THE best.
The room was pretty large, the location is super close to the city center of Brussels and it's very clean. Overall a very nice hotel for a super reasonable price. Would absolutely recommend.
