Vratsa is a great destination for traveling/tourism in Bulgaria. And while the city itself needs no more than half a day (to enjoy the examples of beautiful architecture, historical monuments, the pedestrian street, the squares of the city as well as the view from the top of the hill at the foot of which the main square is located), the region boasts waterfalls (including the (second) highest in Bulgaria), a number of famous caves, peaks to climb, forests, panoramic spots in the mountains, monasteries etc., enough to fill half to a full week if you go very detailed. Vratsa's vicinity is among the most landmark-infested areas in Bulgaria. The mountains are rich in natural wonders and breathtaking views! Strongly recommended!

I am biased I guess as I visited Vratsa many years ago and fell in love with the town
So much so I bought a very nice villa there, which I am slowly making improvements too
The town has so much to offer visitors, form the largest cave in Bulgaria(Ledenika) where you can also go horse riding, to the best climbing in Bulgaria, with many challenging climbs
There are swimming pools, football, go kart track and the second largest natural park in Bulgaria, great also for bike riders
Add to that the largest waterfall,(Skaklya) a climb of over 400 steps to the Herald of Freedom, where you can partake of a needed coffee, great views from here
Many marked walks also
The town itself is pedestrianised, meaning that it is mainly free of traffic, it has many facilities for families with children, with parks and free rides

The maintain view from the center is very beautiful.
The maintain view from the center is very beautiful. The city itself is small. There are nice cheap traditional restaurants around the center that are not flashy but the staff is polite. Fries and beer are classic choices. Don't get an expensive hotel - it will only disappoint you, but rather a cheaper one as the whole experience will be better (I've tried both types in Vratsa). Best day to visit would be 2 June as there are fireworks in the evening to honer Hristo Botev - figher for freedom and writer.

Being a small town far from the capital, I was very worried I may struggle with the language. Much to my surprise almost all shop owners and restaurants I visited all spoke perfect English, and the ones that didn't did their best to help me.

Vratsa is a quiet town, of some interest culturally and some decent restaurants and bars, not a big or lively place. The journey there from Sofia by train is special, and it's perhaps a good base for exploring the Balkan mountain region.

We has one double and one single room on the last floor.
We has one double and one single room on the last floor. Both rooms were very clean and tidy. The single room was as expected normally sized, however the double room was very big.
Absolutely happy with the place.
I booked 2 studio room, but got a free upgrade on one of them due to overbooking of this types of accommodation. Without us asking they offered us the most glamorous apartment. The view was breath-taking.
We were very happy with the buffet breakfast also. Both the food and the coffee was of great quality. I can say the olives were some of the best I ever had.
Both the city and the hotel are a hidden pearl in Bulgaria.
Although adjacent to a main road, the hotel was very quiet inside, the room spacious, the bed comfortable, and there was everything I needed for a one night stay. It was about ten minutes walk from Vraca station, the route being easy to find. It was easy to check in and out, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
The apartment was really clean, decent location (close to the center of Vratsa) and it had a nice mountain view. The staff was super friendly, they called us before our arrival and also after our stay to check if everything was OK. I liked that there was a kettle and some cups in the room. Good value for money.
We stopped at the hotel for a layover on our way back home. It is a good place to spend a night over, the location is well situated, right in the center of the town.
The hotel itself is nice, clean, spacey rooms and it has a lot of facilities for leisure. Too bad the SPA was in renovation. Maybe next time.
Excellent staff. As it is a big, circular complex with a hotel, large restaurant and wellness center, finding the proper entrance proved a little tricky, but the staff gladly assisted to escort me where I needed to be. The room itself was nice, big, clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast menu.
The hotel is a small but very cozy and well placed one. I enjoyed very much the cleanliness of the room and the mountain view from the window. The staff is very helpful and friendly and there is a nice restaurant where the guests can have very good Italian style dinner.
The hotel is very near to the Hospital of the city, if you need accommodation for visiting the hostpital, the location is great.
The premises and the furniture are excellent. Free wifi is at acceptable quality. As for the money, the hotel is very good.
Nice clean ground floor apartment, very good access into the main town & shops in Vratsa.
Excellent value for money, well equipped.
Nice helpful owner who lives very local to the accommodation, highly recommended!
Staff was really good and helpful. Definitely more than we could expect. You could choose one of three breakfast menus. Everything was tasty and fresh. There was also a big parking next to the hotel.
The hotel is at the perfect location. You're at the center with good access to everything that you might need. The room was big and with a nice view towards the main square and the nearby mountains.
The location is excellent, in a walking distance from downtown. Easy to access, a lot of free parking space nearby. Nice, clean room with excellent view on the rocks backing the city of Vratsa.
The host was so responsive and the apartment was beautiful with an amazing view! Very authentic Bulgarian experience and great spot where other Bulgarian residents actually live.
The hotel staff was very polite and the food in the restaurant is still very good. Our room offered a picturesque view of the cliffs next to Vratsata passage.
The breakfast and the restaurant were really good. Although the hotel is next to a big road the room was very quiet and well isolated. The shower was good.
The location in general is good in a quiet neighbourhood, but it's specially great if you visit Vratsa for rock climbing, as the sectors are very close.
