We recycle glass, aluminum, cardboard, and plastic. Gray water is collected to nourish our garden. We avoid single-use plastics and encourage our guests to do the same by bringing metal water bottles to refill with Bonaire’s delicious desalinized water. Bonaire’s electricity comes from a combination of windmills, solar power, and generators. We ask our guests to help conserve energy by turning off all electricity when leaving the house. To ensure a fresh and natural experience, all bedding and towels are hung on the clothesline and dried in the sunshine. We avoid using perfumes or deodorants in our laundry, keeping our guest houses allergen-free.
