Perfect place to switch off and slow down. The beach (Hoopers Bay), shops and even some restaurants are reachable on foot (although you need good footwear). The owners (Beatrice and Mark) are very friendly and helpful and quickly eased me into the Bahamian way of life. The rooms are lovely decorated, clean and comfortable (I was staying in the blue one, facing east, I loved watching the rising sun). My dietary requirements were very well catered for. In one sentence: it was a lovely stay and hopefully I will be able to visit Turtles Nest Bahamas again in the future! Thank you Beatrice and Mark (and Sasha)!

The property was super clean and comfortable. We loved seeing Sasha, and the owners, Mark and Beatrice, were so welcoming and helpful with recommendations and renting the car from them. The studio was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had all the necessary cooking supplies (pots, pans, utensils). The overall room was clean and updated. The hosts have an awesome dog that wanders by occasionally. It’s a short drive to the Turtle beach. Also, very walkable if you don’t have a rental car. It’s also a short drive to the Fish Fry or into George Town. I can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful the owners are. Really top notch service!

Beatrice and Mark were wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond (really!) to make sure we would have the best experience not only at Turtle Nest, but in Exuma. They had by far the best suggestions, and they helped us get places that we wouldn’t have otherwise been able to. Lastly, Turtle Nest is perfectly located in the middle of the island, and the rooms are cozy and clean.

Beatrice and Mark have a little gem in Exuma. Mark met me at the airport on arrival in his Turtle's Nest truck and their puppy, Sasha. I was on the island for a golf tournament. Mark being a golf pro actually caddied for me, incredible service! Any of my request were met with a smile. I ask Mark to grab some supplies for my room in advance, and they were in my room waiting for me. I had an amazing trip. Thanks Beatrice and Mark!

Mark and Beatrice were wonderful and gracious hosts! Their home is recently renovated, the rooms are comfortable and clean. There is a king bed and en-suite bathroom which was great. You definitely need a car, they will help rent one for you and meet you at the airport which is super convenient. They will also help you book tours, we did a tour with Aquaquest which was a full day excursion for $250. Would definitely recommend, included pig beach, iguana cay, thunderball grotto, Compass cay sharks, they take you to lunch which had the best fried fish I had in Exuma for another $25. The house is conveniently located, less than a 10 minute drive to fish fry and Shirley’s (good food, a little expensive for what it is, v popular on island). Another 5 minutes or so to Georgetown. Mark and Beatrice are super knowledgeable about the area. would definitely stay again!

I can tell you a lot about Exuma, but I would like to start with the hosts. Mark & Beatrice (the hosts) are amazing people. They did anything they can to make us feel at home. They got us a car from the agency, shared their knowledge about Exuma, gave us shnorkels and much much more. And of course, Exuma is a crazy, fun and the most beautiful place on earth.
