The hostel is situated around 5 minutes walk from the city centre, I enjoyed it very much, it is so clean everywhere in the hostel. If you walk maybe around 15 minutes from the hostel, you may find a very enjoyable cafe called Lido inside the shopping center where you can eat, the dishes there are very tasty and not expensive. The location was fantastic; there was a shop right next door and a supermarket just 3 minutes walk around the corner. The Opera house was 2 minutes walk away , also the Island of Tears. The wi-fi was very good, and the shower very nice and clean, lots of instant hot water.

The hostel is very difficult to find. There's no sign outside, and the door is locked. There's no reception. I had to call them, and they asked me to speak russian because they don't speak any english. So you can't ask them anything about the city or if you need help with anything. And when a lady came she took me to a totally different building than where the hostel was. But the apartment was good, kitchen, fast wifi. Great location, and there's a supermarked two mins away. But this is not a social hostel, doesn't have the backpacker vibes.

It was not easy to find the entrance, we had to call the administrator. To check in, once we found the entrance, we had to wait for 10+ minutes (their usual practice since they do not have a receptionist on site). Although the card was requested, they accept only cash. No prior notice on that, otherwise we would spend the 10+ minutes on finding the cash. In any unexpected situations, the personnel (both during check in and during checkout) was impolite and unwilling to help. Minor inconveniences like 3 towels for 2 people, dirty air conditioning system, dirty kitchen appliances.
Location is good, in a walking distance from main attractions

Waiting for signing into the hostel. I never got answer about obligatory registration on police office so I did not know if I will have problems on the border. 5th floor without elevator, only one bathroom.
Good location, quite easy to find.

The staff doesn't speak English and is also barely on the premise. That is why the check-in and check-out was a mystery with them seeming very annoyed. Also, the place is more a normal apartment with no common area. Definitely not advisable for not Russian speakers.

the staff doesn't speak or understand english. this led to misunderstandings: for example i was given the wrong key to my dorm and was locked out of my room. the place is more like a normal apartment turned into a hostel - just one bathroom and small grouded rooms with no fresh air. no lockers to put your stuff in. actually decided to leave middle of my booking to another place.

There are some places for this hostel, so it maybe happens, that you have to go for the 5th form without lift - please, be patient. Sometimes there is not such clean in the kitchen after some guest, unfortunately.

Beds were not comfy but not UNcomfortable. The towel that was left for me kept disappearing each day and there was no one in which I could contact to get a new towel. I also sent an email regarding resident registration (I was confused because of the new visa laws) no reply. Perhaps because my question of irrelevant or maybe they didn't bother. No English. I wouldn't stay again to be honest.
Location was good, close to metro station and old town.

“Great place once you are inside; don't let the outside put you off!”

The room was smaller than I thought it would be, but it was warm, comfortable, and I was alone so that didn't matter too much. The floor needed a vacuum but there was a brush for me to sweep every day with! Trying to get into the building first time was annoying because I didn't know which door bell to ring; there were 3 and I don't speak Russian, and each bell had a microphone. I walked around the corridors and up and down the stairs because there was no sign on any door inside! Finally, a person came down after 10 minutes and let me in; then everything became clear. The outside door on the street looks like a rear entrance to a furniture store, grey and sheet metal covered utility bank vault style.See the photo below! And something else they don't tell you; but to open the door from the outside there is a little hole with 2 prongs sticking out; and a little light in it. You put the metal contact on the key ring to it and press for 1 second; this opens the grey door; like I said, maybe the warden told me in Russian but I didn't understand; once I had mastered it it was absolutely no problem, just disconcerting the first time!

It’s hard to find hostels location, it’s not in the same location on booking site. I waited about 30mins in front of the building where the Respect Hostel writing hanged. After that the lady picked me up from there. Except for this everything was great...

It's not really a hostel, it's an apartment with 3 rooms There is no kitchen The heating was set very high and it was not possible to open the windows due to street noiseThe place is not clearly signed, 2 buzzers and 1 intercom and unsure what to press There are no double beds as advertised, but two single beds put together, the sheet was bad quality and didn't fit.
The rooms were pleasantly decorated, and the location was good. There was a washing machine(need to bring your own powder)
