Come immerse yourself in Cape Breton's hospitality! This modern country-style Home is located next to the City of Sydney, NS. You are 10 minutes from the downtown district. We are centrally located to events and tourist attractions on the island. i.e. Fortress of Louisburg, Alexander Graham Bell Museum, Cabot Trail, Miners Museum, Centre200, Membertou Convention Centre, etc. Included in your stay are a hardy breakfast, complimentary beverages, and commissary.
We are a fun-loving family who enjoys our home and loves to share it with others and have them feel like they are at home. I grew up on Cape Breton Island and love the history, culture, music, and landscapes it has to share. We love to help others have an experience of a lifetime when they come here to visit. Having the experience is getting that rest and relaxation before the next adventure and helping guests seek out an experience on the island that intrigues them. The Clipper Room combines seafaring décor with modern amenities like a private entrance, private deck, digital HDTV with a full entertainment package, WiFi, mini-fridge, hairdryer, iron, iron board, robe and towel warmer, plush bathrobes, and toiletries. This spacious 4 piece ensuite includes a jet tub for two and a shower for two. The room sports a comfy and luxurious king-size bed and walk-in closet with hangers for shirts, trousers, and scarves. Guests will be sheltered from the weather with the compliments of indoor parking.
FORTRESS OF LOUISBOURG -The Fortress of Louisbourg is a National Historic Site of Canada and the location of a partial reconstruction of an 18th-century French fortress at Louisbourg on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Its two sieges, especially that of 1758, were turning points in the Anglo-French struggle for what today is Canada. The fortress and town were partially reconstructed in the 1960s and 1970s, using some of the original stonework, which provided jobs for unemployed coal miners. The site is operated by Parks Canada as a living history museum. The site stands as the largest reconstruction project in North America. CABOT TRAIL -The Cabot Trail is a highway and scenic roadway in northern Victoria County and Inverness County on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, Canada. The route measures 298 km in length and completes a loop around the northern tip of the island, passing along and through the Cape Breton Highlands. PLEASE INQUIRE ABOUT THINGS TO DO WHEN BOOKING. AS A BORN AND RAISED CAPE BRETONER I CAN GIVE YOU INSIGHT TOO MANY ISLAND ADVENTURES.
