The room facilities and owner were nice and the bathroom was ensuite.

I found this a lovely place to stay.Polite staff. Nice location and good value for money. I would certainly stay in the same place if I were back in Yellowknife.

What a lovely place! First, John was very helpful and responsive when I had a couple of questions. The place itself is quiet and comfortable. And the view...wow. It was so nice to walk outside my room, take my coffee and sit on the dock first thing in the morning. I'll be travelling to Yellowknife often for business and I will look here first from now on!

Great Location on the Bay in Old Town. Decent in town viewing of Aurora Borealis if she visits! Appreciated our own deck area. Next door to Air Tindi Floatplane Base, especially convenient in the winter to catch a flight! Great restaurant within the building and another cafe across the bridge. Take a glassware making workshop across the road at Old Town Glassworks for a beautiful personalized keepsake. Belinda was very welcoming.

The Aurora Bayside Inn is located on the Great Slav Lake where I was able to enjoy several winter activities in March. It is conveniently in "Old Town" and I was able to walk to the Ice Palace for the Snowking Festival, get picked up out back on the frozen lake to go ice fishing, and walk around the corner for a wonderful flight in a De Havilland Beaver. The accommodations were very comfortable and there is a restaurant on property where you can have a nice meal with wine and watch ski planes take off and land or see teams of dog sleds go by. I loved it! Very relaxing.

We stayed in the small cabin in the back of the property. It was very nice and had everything that we needed. Cabin was located right on the lake.

Great location, clean, comfortable, everything I needed

Proprietor John was super patient and accommodating with our special requests - went out of his way to make pre-wedding and wedding night special! Our room for the second night had a private outside entrance. There is also a (detached) cabin which was unavailable when we booked but is something we would like to enjoy in future!

Comfy beds n we could come and go as we please which is something I love

I loved the extra activities, if you get the queen room you get a private entrance and I love it! Awesome owners and an amazing view!!! Quiet and worth every penny!!

Hi. Does each room have separate entrance or do we have to buzz in everytime? Because we'll be out shooting stars during our stay and will be back 3-4am every nightAll guests receive a key to the front door of the building so guests can come and go as they please. The Northern Skies room (Deluxe Queen Studio) and the Cabin both have their own entrance.Answered on July 7, 2021
