I've tried to depict the age of the property through it's decore. The house is an older home by Jasper standards, since it was built in 1926. I've developed gardens around it to give it a cottage look and put quilts on the beds and embroideries on the walls, to depict the skills of women of this era. The "dated" look is intentional. Since it is an older home, there is only one bathroom, which is located on the main floor and visitors who book the room with two queen beds, have to go down a flight of stairs to access the bathroom. The wiring is older and appliances can only be plugged in one at a time to avoid overloading the breakers. Cell phones and laptops can be charged. I've tried to put televisions in the guest rooms, but to no avail. The television is in the living room and is for the guests to use. There are some unusual architectural features, such as the stairs and the stone fireplace.

I am a quilter and an embroiderer and an outdoor enthusiast. I love to hike the trails, ride my mountain bike and swim in the lakes. I snowshoe, skate and ski in the winter. I love the garden and I've surrounded the property with flowering shrubs and flowers. The view from the outside benches is of Old Man Mountain. I do have a big dog. He's an Alaskan Malamute and he lives with me on the premises.

My home is located only one half block, ( a few minutes) from the central business district. Walking to the shops and restaurants is preferred, since parking is sometime hard to find, closer to the town centre. The town is full of activities, such as, an aquatic centre with a large slide, a children's pool, large pool for lane swimming, sauna and hot tub. We have a museum, art gallery, weight room and some special events. There is hiking within easy walking distance and mountain bikes can be rented downtown. There is an extensive trail system in the National Park, starting from several locations at the town site. Sometimes visitors can see wildlife in the townsite, mainly elk and deer. The view from my home is of the mountains. Jasper National Park is fabulously scenic.
