    July and August for sure! Often September is lovely for the beach too.

  • What do you mean by shared bathroom

    At this time (during the COVID-19 Pandemic), the bathroom will not be shared. Jane's Room and the Yellow Room will not be rented concurrently and those guests will have private access to the full bathroom.

  • Hello, My mother and I are looking for a room for Sunday June 26 for 2 or 3 nights for a brief get away. Is there a way to accommodate a second bed or can I bring an aerobed so we can share a room but have our won beds? Thanks Fiona

    Thank you for your interest in Ellerslie Bed and Breakfast. Jane's Room can accommodate two people who want separate beds. It has a queen sized bed and a double sofa bed which is quite comfortable. Hope this helps!

Welcome to Ellerslie, where you will find casual elegance in a heritage home. This remarkable home, built in 1897, has found a new lease on life on the shores of Buckley Bay. Remarkably, given its long history, we are only the third owners of Ellerslie, and we are thrilled to share it with travelers to beautiful Vancouver Island. Built by John Jardine, a Scottish house painter by trade, and a Member of the Provincial Legislature of British Columbia for Esquimalt, Ellerslie was named after the home of Scottish hero William Wallace. Pride in craftsmanship is evident in the beautiful plaster work, hand-carved oak mantles and the unique hand-built split oak staircase.
