Comfy Bed & self-serve Breakfast variety in a very peaceful old home, full of interesting memorabilia, delightfully renovated by Bill the pleasant accommodating host. Easy walking to downtown pubs & restaurants and bus stops. Great value - I plan to come back.

I absolutely loved staying at this property!! It was like a home away from home - a fascinating house filled with impressive collections of books, records and antiques, all beautifully displayed. My room was spacious and very comfortable but I was also invited, to explore the rest of the house and to make myself at home in the shared spaces.

Bill was so passionate about the work he does and the care he puts into the house, it was infectious and I loved asking questions. I will recommend this to all family and friends visiting St. John's and recommend you stay here. What a beautiful introduction to Newfoundland.

    There are 3 guest rooms and 3 bathrooms that are shared by all guests. This is very clearly stated in all of our promotional material. This is a B&B; ..

  • We will not arrive via airplane until 0010 on Sept. 5.. do you allow very late check in... perhaps 0130?
    Late check ins are never a problem if I am informed in a timely manner. Make sure you inform me of your requested time a day or so in advance.

Gower Manor Historic Bed and Breakfast is a Second Empire style residence with the distinctive dormer windows, mansard roof and ornate trim that characterized St. John’s in the 1890s. Fully restored inside and out by a master craftsman the home features 4 floors of exquisite antiques, working phonographs and memorabilia from a century ago.
