The hostel is located just besides the river. I can say perfect location for camping. You can listen water flowing sound all day long. Everything is nearby within 10-20 minutes drive. Excellent customer service provided specifically from Manager. She provided all the necessary information even though we arrived at night and didn’t inform hostel about late check-in.

Very basic accommodations in the woods. Location was great for the amazing Park next door. 6 persons per room, who were extremely considerate. Outhouse, no shower, but a basic kitchen to use. Our stay was pleasant and I would recommend this hostel, if one does not expect any "frills".

We had a great time at the hostel! The dorm room was cosy and clean, and even had an electricity outlet. Despite no running water at the hostel, we were able to shower at the HI Hostel in Jasper town. Linen and pillows were also provided . The detached location in the wildlife movement corridor around Jasper really allowed us to disconnect and experience the nature.

The amenities are pretty basic but this is highlighted to you in the information before you book. There is no "running" water but there is fresh water available from a tank. It is a lovely location right next to a river which was peaceful and allowed for basic bathing. It is about 10 minutes drive from Jasper and was by far the cheapest and most rugged stay available. At the end of the day it's a hostel and you should manage your expectations as a result. The host was a really nice guy, very knowledgeable and gave us some good suggestions.

We had a beautiful adventure at the HI Maligne Canyon! My husband and I were on a 2 week camping trip in the Rockies early in the season. The forecast was for snow, so we decided to sleep at a hostel instead of a tent. So glad we did because over 3 feet of snow came down in about 36 hours. We had a really excellent time with the international guests and appreciated the hostel host keeping us informed and warm while the beautiful snow kept falling. Beds are incredibly comfortable. Kitchen is small, but cozy.

Great location, very quite and restfull place, just few steps to the river, we slept like babies with the sound of river (although we stayed just one night) Located in maligne road, it was just beside maligne canyon, 15' to jasper city (by car) and not too far from medecine and maligne lake which was great to explore the area. Great price value !

Property was gorgeous. Could hear the rushing water all night which was very relaxing. Right across the road from the Maligne Canyon hike. Was able to wake up early and wonder over for a morning hike with limited people.
