We liked the whole experience! An amazing way to spend a night in the beautiful Curzùtt, near to the famous Tibetan Bridge. Nice staff and good food at the nearby restaurant. Recommended.

Es ist ein sehr schöner und friedlicher Ort um abzuschalten und die Natur in vollen Zügen zu geniessen. Die Aussicht und die wunderschöne Kirche sind sehr sehenswert. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis mit dem Blick auf die Sterne einzuschlafen und mit den ersten Sonnenstrahlen aufzuwachen. Auch das Abendessen und das Frühstück waren sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Alles in Allem ein sehr schönes und einzigartiges Erlebnis!

    Buongiorno, il bagno (privato) con WC e doccia si trova a 150m dal Birdbox.

  • Ciao, per il parcheggio come funziona? Ho visto che non lo avete ma dove si può parcheggiare quindi?
    Buongiorno, consigliamo l’utilizzo dei mezzi pubblici o del parcheggio ubicato in via Er Carà di Sai a Monte Carasso (700m – 10 min. a piedi dalla partenza della funivia).

Overnight stays in close contact with nature and vineyards, in a unique and extraordinary structure, equipped with every comfort and located in a historical context and landscape of great value? BirdBox Curzútt is this and much more. The room offers a special view of the St. Barnárd Church, a monument of national importance, and is only 45 minutes away from the Carasc Tibetan Bridge - one of the most important attractions in the Bellinzona area. The room is equipped with every comfort. It has a double bed with bed linen and towels and also comes with a bottle of water, an umbrella and a torch. The toilet and shower are for private use and are located approx. 150 metres away (see map). To fully enjoy your experience of nature you will also find a wonderful furnished terrrasse. To round off your experience in the best possible way, you can also enjoy a delicious dinner at the Ristorante Ostello Curzútt, located just a few steps from the BirdBox.
With this important and innovative project, the Curzútt - St. Barnárd Foundation intends to ride a real macro-trend in the tourism sector. The concept of "Glamping" in fact originates from the union of the terms "Glamour" and "Camping" and represents a new form of accommodation with a high emotional value. Through this new trend, luxury and exclusivity no longer relate solely to the splendour of large infrastructures, but to the authenticity of the context in which new forms of micro-hospitality are set.
In past centuries, the population did not live on the plain as they do today, but rather on the hills, both because the Ticino River frequently overflowed and it was easy to catch malaria along its banks, and to avoid the raids of the armies that fought over Bellinzona, an important access route to the Alps. The beautiful village centre of Curzútt with its stone buildings, vegetable gardens and terraces planted with cereals and vines has been magnificently restored in recent years (over 6 million euros invested) by the Curzútt-San Barnárd Foundation. The aim of the project was not to create an open-air museum, but a living centre that now houses the Birdbox, a hostel and a high-quality restaurant. Several buildings, dry stone walls and the old mule track have been restored and a lovely playground for children has been created. Like any area, Curzútt has its own history and culture and offers valuable resources. The core area is distinguished by its characteristic stone structures and dry stone walls, but the area is rich in other attractions such as the Church of St. Bernard, the Carasc Tibetan Bridge, multiple trails and orienteering routes for the more adventurous.
