Duplex apartment with a breathtaking view of the legendary four-thousand-meter peaks of the Valais Alps. From the windows and the spacious balcony you can look into the distance into the Rhone Valley or as far as to the famous Matterhorn. The two-storey apartment, furnished in Alpine chic, is a hideaway of heavenly peace on the car-free Riederalp at almost 2,000 m above sea level, but yet easily accessible and a short distance from the gondola station, the town center and the ski lifts. The apartment is accessed via an outside staircase with a private entrance. There are 3 bedrooms, two of which are in the cozy attic. On the gallery level there is a single bed as well as a workstation with an electrically height-adjustable desk and a monitor for connecting a laptop. In the living area there is an HDTV with Netflix, Sky and Amazon Prime Streaming as well as satellite TV. The open kitchen is equipped with everything it needs, right down to the obligatory fondue and raclette set. In the basement is the ski room with space for skis and boots (heated room).

The entire Aletsch plateau with the villages of Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp is car-free. This is particularly ideal for those looking for peace and quiet and families with children. The atmosphere is unique. On the balcony of Chalet Chumma you don't hear much more than the rustling of the wind, a meltwater stream in spring and the alpine choughs that fly from further up in the mountains to Riederalp in winter. The view of the Rhone Valley or the mountain range of the southern Alps to the Matterhorn and other four-thousand-meter peaks in Lower Valais is breathtaking. At the same time, this requires a little more planning, because you can't just drive up to the chalet. However, the entire infrastructure in the Aletsch Arena is designed to make it very pleasant for visitors to stay without a car. So if you arrive by car, just leave it in the car park in Mörel next to the valley station (24 hours cost CHF 10 or CHF 12, depending on the season). If you have a lot of luggage, you can borrow a luggage trolley there (in the parking lot) and take it with you on the mountain railway. The luggage trolley costs CHF 10. A single ticket to Riederalp costs CHF 9.80 for adults and CHF
