Company info

We are Zermatt Holidays, the original chalet company in Zermatt since 1988! We can almost call ourselves “locals” after spending so many years here. We work with many local companies to offer our guests the best deals in terms of travel to and from Zermatt, ski rentals and local restaurants. Organization of ski passes on arrival, restaurant bookings, serviced apartments are all part of our day. All of our guests are met personally at the station on arrival and accompanied to their accommodation by electric taxi. Our Zermatt Holidays office is based in the centre of the village and offers a range of accommodation types. We will continue to live our dream of helping to make the stay of our guests in Zermatt an unforgettable experience, nothing is too much trouble for us!

The apartments in Chalet Shalimar all have a fully equipped kitchen with professional kitchen appliances (steamer, microwave, oven, electric stove, dishwasher, freezer, refrigerator, Nespresso machine, filter coffee machine, kettle, wine cooler). Open living/dining room with fireplace, Matterhorn view and access to a large terrace or balcony with wooden furniture and parasol. Dining area with a beautiful wooden table and comfortable leather armchairs. Flat screen TV with cable TV (English channels), DVD player and free WiFi. In addition, the bedrooms have box spring beds (single mattresses), a Bose radio/iPod 4 system and a safe. All bedrooms have their own bathroom with bath, separate shower and toilet. The three-bedroom apartments have a private washing machine and dryer. The shared wellness area on the lower floor features a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, a massage room (please contact us in advance about the availability of a therapist), a separate toilet, a changing room and a swimming pool with jets and massage jets. Thanks to the jet-stream you can use the swimming pool for long distance swimming with a view of the Matterhorn.

Neighborhood info

Chalet Shalimar lies in the lovely area of Obere Tuftra in the outskirts of the village where the old chapel dates back to the 17th century and the old sheep barns are burnt black by the strong Valais sun. It is a 15-minute stroll to the village centre or 5 minutes by electric ski-bus, the bus stop is 100 meters away from the Chalet Shalimar. Zermatt is a car free village, public transportation (electric bus or taxi) is available.
