AustraliaThe hotel was very well furnished, modern but maintaining charm. The room was a good size and very well furnished with a very nice bathroom and spacious balcony. The communal facilities are excellent (the spa is fantastic and certainly better than we expected - the hotel could do a better job on this with their marketing photos as it is quite impressive). Overall, very good.

Opened in December 2012, Hotel Matterhorn Lodge is located in the historic centre of Zermatt. Decorated in a classic Alpine style, it features a wellness area with 3 different saunas. A ski bus stop is a 2-minute walk away.
Units at the Matterhorn Lodge have 1 or 2 flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, a bathroom and modern furnishings. Some units have a kitchen or kitchenette, and some offer Matterhorn views. A rich breakfast is served every morning.
The Matterhorn Lodge features a hotel bar and a ski storage room. A shuttle service to the train station is provided free of charge.
Next to the Bahnhofstrasse and the Kirchplatz, it is 350 yards from the closest restaurant. The Sunnegga Cable Car Station and the Zermatt Train Station are within 550 yards of the Lodge.
