This was one of the best stays we had recently. To start, we had a great reception by Giuseppe. He made sure to show us around the property and tell us everything about it. Everyone from the staff was very polite and made our experience even better. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, but we got an upgrade to a better room if we would wait a bit longer, which wasn’t a problem for us. The place had the most beautiful view of Colina D’Oro. They have a good underground parking space, that was much needed due to the heat.

The family members loafing around and the somewat old-fashioned interiors reminded me of family vacations in the 70s, so much nicer than the impersonal sterility of the large chains. Everything was nice and smooth. Staff were always friendly, facilities are nice and value for money is the absolute best in the region. Location connects to the city center via bus station which is near the building. I would be visiting again when in Lugano surely!

The location was superb. The breakfast was excellent and so was the onsite restaurant. The beds were ok. The room was very clean and the staff were lovely. I would highly recommend.

The Hotel de la Paix is near Lake Lugano, about 0.6 mi from the city center and the train station. It offers an out-door pool, free WiFi, free parking on site and free mini-bar use.
