There are many great restaurants, especially if you like the fish food!
Those moais are magical and sunrise tour is must!
Some things are very expensive there in Easter Island, example
renting a bike is 25€/24h !
I understand that some things in so isolated place is more expensive, but I think they have cartel in some business. Maybe they all don't understand that even they want to avoid the competition with each other, they will still have that competition with other vacation places. If people think it's too expensive, they go somewhere else.

You need to have interest in the history of the island.
You need to have interest in the history of the island. Showing up for a "resort style vacation" would be the wrong reason to go. We did a lot of homework and it was almost emotional to be there, especially after the island was run into the ground by greed.... You do need a guide to enter the parks. Sunscreen and water is your friend. You can stamp your passport, but not open on weekends.

I read on the internet:-
1. You could buy your ticket (USD80) for the National park at the airport. This is no longer the case. You have to buy your entry ticket in town.
2. Also, you could get your passport stamped with an Easter Island stamp at the post office. This is no longer the case. Go to the tourist information in town (sea front).

Unique island - fascinating history AND current culture.
Unique island - fascinating history AND current culture. We easily spent 22 nights. Not nearly as expensive as on-liine chats imply. We bought fresh and unknown-to-us vegetables and fruit in the market, so ate very well. Saved our pennies to go out for Pisco Sours! Did lots of walking, went on 2 horse back trips, and rented scooters on 2 days.

Rapa Nui is like this dream destination: an island in the middle of nowhere with an extremely interesting history and culture. The island has amazing nature and plenty of sites to visit. A long weekend is ok to see the highlights of the island, but if you want to include water sports then a bit more time has to be added to the trip.

From sunrise at Ahu Tongariki to sunset at Ahu Tahai the island does not disappoint. Having the requirement of a guide was a great way to understand the various sites and history behind the island. Historically Rapa Nui will have your mind going at all times in a good way. Fresh ceviche is available everywhere, and the town is easy to navigate and walk around and just enjoy the sun and breeze. Renting a 4-wheeler and driving around the island was a great experience.
The appartment/room we had in this hotel had direct view on the Pacific. It was very quit and had perfect beds and pillows. Spacious with enough storage space. It's a short walk to the main appartment were breakfast is served everyday between 8.30 and 10.30. The main host Carmen and her employees take good care of you and bring your food and drinks to your table on the veranda. Eggs are made per your wishes. Mineral water is available to fill your own flasks. In the vicinity are a lot of restaurants and coffee shops.
The location was amazing. 15mins walk to the "center" I had Moais right in front of my deck that I would watch during the sunset. You see the tourist come in for it, meanwhile I sat back, drinking a beer and enjoying the ocean front view. The host were great, from communication to pickup. I speak Spanish also. The cabin was beautiful with everything that you could need. Even though I was a solo traveler, you can easily sleep 6-8+. The whole experience made my stay in easter island and I unforgettable one. Thank you
We enjoyed staying in the hostal. Maria, the host, helped us with various things, she was very friendly and attentive. The value of comfort/location/price is ideal. The price is low as compared to the hotels, it is locatied not far from the center of the city, near the beach, Ahu Tahai where you can make amazing photos of the sunset is within walking distance from the hostal. If we come back to Rapa Nui, we will book the hostal again with no doubts. Thank you very much!
My stay at this hotel was a delightful experience and a great stay. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with a beautiful garden made it truly special. The owner has plenty of horses which were brought in in the morning which was a stunning scenery to watch. The short walk to town added convenience without sacrificing the peaceful retreat vibe. Rooms were comfortable and well-maintained. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway.
Fantastic location. Incredibly beautiful inside and in the outdoor areas. The staff were the best we’ve ever come across: they kindly laundered what clothes we had as our suitcase was lost by the airline. They also lent us a socket adapter to charge our phones. The breakfast was delicious and healthy. We spoke to other people on the island and our hotel was far-and-away the best. we could not recommend it highly enough.
The breakfast was excellent and the location was perfect. The staff (Feña, Nico and the other guys) were super friendly and help me with every question I had during my vacations. They receive each guest with a flower necklace at the airport and before we leave the hotel they gave us a CD with Rapa Nui music and a shell necklace... what a lovely gesture!
Beautiful location, you could see a Moai right in front of the hotel. The staff was super nice and attentive; gave us both welcoming and departing gifts. Highly recommend. Easily booked two amazing tours through them, purchased the park pass with a link they provided, and airport pickup/drop off was included!
The staff were very nice. We liked the location next to great places to see and visit in Hanga Roa. We enjoyed renting bikes at the hotel and riding around town. The outdoor swimming pool was fantastic! We also loved their breakfast buffet, and the architecture of the hotel was inspired.
I'ta, who runs the place , is a great guy. He knows a lot about pretty much everything Rapa Nui. He was always helpful and available to guests to deal with any issue or help make arrangements for tours, rentals, etc.
Nice quiet location just a block or two from main street.
Lovely rooms and in a great location right in the middle of Hanga Roa, picked us up and dropped us to the airport too, the staff were super friendly and helpful all through our stay. Really like the vibe of the place too, a nice organic/eco friendly theme
The location was fantastic. The wifi was great (they use Starlink). The hospitality was amazing. Alex was there for anything I needed and will take you on tours as well. The hotel exceeded my expectations and made me feel so welcome in Rapa Nui.
The kindness of the staff was from another world! My experience in the Easter Island would have not been as great as it was without the staff at this hostel. I highly recommend this place for everyone! As a solo female traveller I felt safe.
Staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was outstanding and to be fair they couldn’t do enough for you. I think this little hotel are trying their best to make people enjoy their stay. The walk into town was about 25-30mins.
The hotel is excellent. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable - from giving tips, making reservations for us and genuinely being interested in their guests.
Btw, the hotel is well above the stated 3* standard.
Excellent central location, steps from everything in Hanga Roa. Comfortable, clean room. Nice outside space for relaxing. Very hospitable and helpful owner. Breakfast was simple, but good. Overall, would highly recommend.
Excellent place to stay in Rapa Nui. Clean, free airport pick up and drop off. Very fast satellite WIFI (Starlink) allowing me to work and have work calls. Friendly management. I would definitely stay at Ula Mana again.
Kori is an exceptional host. Very attentive, polite and friendly. The location is also great. Very calm, but close to town. Couldn't wish for a better host and stay on Rapa Nui.
