The Slender West Lake park was beautiful.
The Slender West Lake park was beautiful. Some amazing food and an abundance of good restaurants. I visited two unique and very interesting bookshops, with great ideas for enthusing young readers. Getting there from Shanghai at present is a bit of a hassle, but a new bridge and direct rail service should be completed by the end of next year.HeidiAustralia - 6.0Scored 6.0
Yangzhou is a third tier city...expect a lower standard.
Yangzhou is a third tier city...expect a lower standard. I have lived here. There are some very nice parks and gardens, but truly there are many other better cities nearby, like Suzhou. Chinese tourism season here is in heavy in the Spring (plum blossoms) and National holidays. Spring is a great time, but avoid weekends.
