Really good hotel to stay for a few days. Location is great, a lot of places accessible by walking or metro/subway. Starbucks that is mentioned in the description is in the railway station, so rather use the one that's in the nearest walk, maximum 10 min walk.

Dalian Shell Museum was the best out of over dozen shell/s museums I ever visited worldwide. Very nice big exhibition of sea shells, land snails, fossils. It took us 4 hours to see everything including nice souvenir shop.

Beautiful city and nice getaway from the big cities like Shanghai or Beijing. Lots to do here, so two weeks is probably sufficient. Beautiful views of the skyline and ocean scenery. Plenty of shopping as well.
Can't go wrong for the visit, but if you go low-budget, well, you kind of get what you pay for. The city has several zoos, lots of beaches, parks and hiking around as well.

I didn't go to Dalian just for sightseeing - I have friends there. I speak Chinese and am always wanting to improve and learn more. For me, there is plenty to do as I could chat with Chinese people all day, every day. I spent many hours walking by the coast, joining in with activities in the parks and always travelling on local buses. If you are simply visiting for traditional sightseeing and you plan to use taxis, you may find three or four days sufficient, including a day trip to Lushun.

Dalian is a wonderful city offering many options for the traveler. The metro is easy to use, affordable and very clean. Parks are a big attraction in Dalian so much happening there day and night. People exercise, sing, dance day and night in the parks. The lights at night are magical. The roads are well designed and taxis are cheap as well so getting around is easy enough. There are many wonderful places to eat especially in the big shopping centres where you can find variety plus. The winner was Dalian “Little Venice” located on a beautiful sea-front, with its canals, gondolas and architecture. I really appreciated how clean it was and how clean the air was there so relaxing what a place! The challenge though was the language not everyone speaks English in Dalian but people try to help the best they can and will find someone who speaks English to help you. It was hard to find information because I did not have access to internet so it is advisable to organise that beforehand I would recommend. It was expensive however I did find some underground shops where it was cheaper; the designer cloths and good were a bit out of my budget.
It is located in Dalian's CBD so everything is very close. It is around 500m to the subway, and around 2 km to the seaside with many attractions. The hotel looks good and feels good, it used to be a top hotel a few years back, but it's getting a bit older, however, still has its charm. You won't miss anything, you can conveniently pay by Visa/Mastercard at the reception and do not forget about the 400 RMB deposit.
The hotel’s location is really good as it’s right in the center so it was very convenient to move around. Check in and out was fast, staff was really helpful. We had a nice room with huge bathtub and park view. Big and soft bed, kettle with tea was provided, overall not bad.Spa works for 24 hours. There was a gym and swimming pool available for guests. The first floor has a little cafeteria.
The staff members were very kind and accommodating. Communicating with the staff in English was smooth and straightforward. Although the room wasn’t exceptionally spotless, all the staffs including those in buffet restaurant work hard to accommodate me. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who’s planning to enjoy the city of Dalian.
The hot tub was nice and the sauna. The room was comfortable and I liked that you could control the a/c as most Chinese hotels you can't. The sushi restaurant a little pricey but delicious. I enjoyed my stay and the staff were friendly. I like that it's attached to the mall so you can connect on the 4th floor. This was my last stay and Dalian and I didn't regret it.
Having been in many many hotels during my travels, this definitely tops the cake!
The magnificence of the design, externally and internally, made the experience and the stay one of a kind.
Service was great and there were many facilities on site. Staff look to cater to your needs and they deliver.
P.S. Room and view was also spectacular
Room was very nice with an excellent bathroom, shower and bath. The staff were professional and have a hotel WeChat so you can connect with them and they provide useful info. Location was very good, price was reasonable. I left very early and they do provide a simple take away breakfast at any time that is a great touch but ask for it!
It was a decent experience, although the hotel appears to be a bit dated. The furnishings in the room seemed old, but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, although there were some issues with the shower. On the bright side, the dining buffet was enjoyable, offering a wide variety of food options.
Really good hotel to stay for a few days. Location is great, a lot of places accessible by walking or metro/subway. Starbucks that is mentioned in the description is in the railway station, so rather use the one that's in the nearest walk, maximum 10 min walk.
Room was clean, comfortable. Staff is friendly.
The staff were very helpful and spoke good English, the spacious apartment, the pool, sauna, big TVs and great BOSE sound system. Breakfast was very good comparing to other hotels in China. We met the New Year at the apartment with my Family, it went awesome!
The breakfast was amazing, a very good choice!! and good quality fresh food. The beds were extremely cosy. The views were incredible from the room and hotel was lovely. The gym was very good and a lovely sea view. The pool was nice but not amazing!
The hotel is in a great location. The amenities were top notch. I was greeted warmly. Breakfast was great. The hotel was clean. Service was solid. The jacuzzi and sauna were perfect. I was quite happy. I would highly recommend the place.
Thanks to Derek and all staff for giving exceptional service. Great location and a holiday inn like no other with great outdoor hot springs with beautiful scenery. Close to the beach and other hotels for more dining options.
The facility and food are spotless. What impressed me most is the hotel service. Derek and Jeffery did awesome job taking care of me and my family during our stay. We feel pampered by the facility staff:)
