It’s like a retreat and oasis for relaxing and recharging after visiting the crowded and noisy city and the temple. The staff is extremely friendly, kind and patient, given the case that many guests were rude and demanding (in our observation). The hotel offers a lot activities especially the traditional Chinese clothes dress-up. The staff in Hanfu Guan (汉服馆/六艺轩) is helpful,friendly and patient. We really had a good time trying out some Chinese traditional clothes.

The bar with pool-biljart table is great and they have some craft beers on draft and chinese tea amongst others. It is a nice bar/restaurant to relax after a day sightseeing. The breakfast was limited, because there are only a few tourists due to Covid-travel restrictions in China, but still they had some tasty breakfast options (incl. a healty option of muesli with yoghurt and fruit).

Great location for visiting attractions: Temple and House of Confucius, Yan Temple, and Kong Family Cemetery. To get there, you can take the horse carts that pass in front of the hotel. Being expats in China, we came by train, the East Station which is only 20 minutes by taxi from the hotel

Very friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way helping us, also trying to call the Confucius Temple Ticket office for us. English very well spoken. Great selection at the breakfast buffet. Rooms size is huge. The architecture of the hotel is amazing, and one of the best I have seen worldwide.

The design of the whole hotel was fantastic, traditional Chinese style. And All staff was so nice and we had a great time there.
