We also did the Christmas dinner, while it was unlike any Christmas dinner I have had, the roasted meats were excellent as was the sushi-mi and seafood options. There was also a wide variety of deserts. The location of this hotel is ideal. It's 5mins walk from the main shopping area in Yalong bay and very close to the beach. Our fav places to eat out was the food court, which is in the quieter shopping area on the same side of the street as the palace but heading inland. “Very pretty seaside resort, bright, lots of flowers and greenery. Great swimming pool, especially for kids (large kiddy pool with water castle, slide and lifeguard). Breakfast surprised us: besides a huge variety of Chinese food, there was a decent western selection as well (yoghurt, croissants, eggs, bacon etc). Spacious and clean rooms. A tiny improvement point would be a rethinking of the glass around the bathroom in the twin room. Kind of common sense really that most people who are not sharing a bed, don't want to see each other in the shower.
