Santa Elena is beautiful, but it's very Cold! Always!!
Santa Elena is beautiful, but it's very Cold! Always!! It's not just a seasonal thing, it's around 9000 ft altitude, so it's quite cold all year round. So dress appropriately! Also, houses don't have heating or insulation here, sometimes they'll have a fire place, but not always. I highly recommend booking places with a fire place as it makes a huge difference at night. Also, highly recommend you have a car when passing through here because everything is quite far!
We went to Piedras Blanca part of Parque Arvi, and to be honest I was underwhelmed. Perhaps because it's low season, many parts were closed, but it didn't seem that interesting to me.
We ate a Guadalajarra (2 Rs) restaurant. A tiny little Mexican restaurant, which I highly recommend!! We had the burger and the quesadillas, and both were excellent!
