Free shuttle/taxi from the airport. Clean room/bathroom, good for a night stay when flying into San Jose. 10 mins from car rental offices by Uber. The rooftop bar was not opened when I got there which was a bummer.

I needed somewhere to rest and shower for 5 hours when I landed, and this was a convenient option for a private room and bathroom for my budget. Staff was welcoming - Luis and Roberto were both really kind, one allowing me a late checkout (since I arrived in the early AM, the extra hour was so important for me!) and the other who graciously made me coffee while I waited for my friends to show up in the lobby! 5 mins from the airport, would recommend for long connections or a one-night layover if on a budget. Since I landed at 5am and had to wait til noon for my friends to arrive, I didn't really have many other options of where to go so this worked out well! I emailed ahead and let them know that even though I booked for the night before, I'd be checking in the next morning to make sure it was okay and I got a very fast response indicating that it was no problem.

United States of AmericaLocated right in the heart of Alajuela. Easy area to navigate. I was in a dorm room, just what I expected. Really convientient for getting to the airport. Really nice to have the free shuttle to the airport. There is a secure closet to store your baggage while waiting for the room. Nice rooftop area with a bar/restaurant. Can watch the planes come and go.

AustraliaIt’s crazy close to the airport. Uber is about a $3USD ride. Other options are the bus which is really easy. Or if you are arriving or exiting at the right time they have a free shuttle. The staff here is wonderful!! They know the area really well and warmly share knowledge with travels. They will even hang with you at a table and step by step the logistics to a near by ‘hot spot’ or to another town. Love this place and the town Alajuela. Much better than downtown SJ. But if you need to connect to downtown that is an really easy $1 bus from here
