i had planned to stay here for 4 days but extended to another day because of how much I enjoyed it. The room was super cute and the location was perfect, maybe 7 min walk to the beach and 20 min to the center of Puerto Viejo. Giorgio, the host, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He assisted me in anything that I needed and was responsive any time of day. If you chat with him he will gladly share recommendations and help guide you during your stay. Since I was traveling alone it was nice to have someone to rely on and get solid tips from. You feel like you are in the jungle as birds and monkeys are always around to greet you. I was partially working remotely and was glad to not have any issues with the wifi.
United States of AmericaCasitas Las Flores is just outside of town, a nice 20 minute walk on the black sand beach or a quick bike ride, rentals offered at the location. Therefore it is quiet and all you hear are the sounds of nature, birds chirping and monkeys howling. I was in a small Casita which has no kitchen, but everything else you need, such as a fridge, a coffeemaker and water boiler and water filter. Decorated nicely and with its own terrace with lounge chairs and a hammock it's a nice place to relax. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it if you want to stay in Puerto Viejo but not want to be in the busy town center.

Costa RicaPerfect location, halfway between town and Banana Azul. Easy bike ride or beach stroll. Very comfortable, safe and secluded. Fully equipped kitchen. Lovely landscaping screens each casita. Maid service once a week. Extraordinary hosts - attentive, charming, knowledgeable, available. Henceforward will stay here for my annual visit to PV.
