Wow - what stay. This was an amazing start to our Costa Rica trip. The lodge is set just back from the river, with numerous floating platforms on one side and the beach to the other side. The rooms are comfortable, with all the facilities you need. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. There are so many activities available - we particularly enjoyed our early morning boat tour. The pool area is great for relaxing in the sunshine. The trip on the Katonga floating restaurant was also a real treat. All our needs were met, the staff were very helpful - we couldn't have wished for a better stay. Thank you Mawamba!

Located between the Caribbean Sea and the canals of Tortuguero National Park, Mawamba Lodge is accessible by boat or plane only. It offers spacious rooms and features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant featuring local and international a la carte menu. Breakfast is included in rate and is also served a la carte. The front desk can assist in reservations for boat tours, kayaking, and canoe trips. Walking tours are available to Cerro Tortuguero and night walks. During turtle nesting season (July to October) night tours are arranged.
