I was very impressed with the house. We really enjoyed the fireplace. The house was very clean. We had our dog with us and I liked that the outside space was very secure and I felt confident to leave her unattended playing in the very nice garden. It is in a quiet area, very close to amenities like a supermarket, bakery and take away food. We enjoyed having a barbeque, all the equipment we needed was already provided. Host was very friendly. Before I even left I arranged my next visit.

Good place for those who arrive to see more than a beach and want to explore the island. The house is in a calm village close to the mountains and well situated for making trips. Thanks to its position nights are not so hot as on the coast, so we could sleep well without using airconditioning. The host is great. We found some eggs, cheese and bread in the fridge upon our arrival and received delicious fruits, especially grapes, almost every day. We spent there 12 days and received clean towels and beddings twice during the stay.

The property and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed sitting in the garden and admiring the view, it was also perfect for our dog as it had the right amount of shaded spots to hide away from the summer sun. The property has a high fence that surrounds the garden so didn't have any worries about her escaping. The location is great as nothing is too far away and the shops are just a 5 minute drive away.

Charalambos and his family are very heartily, helpful and accommodating. We spent a week at the River house and totally enjoyed it. He made sure we got everything we need and gave us recommendations what to do and see including guiding how to get there. He knows his area 😉 The house is lovely and has everything you need. The garden: divine after hiking! The location is perfect to do hikes in the mountains, i.e. the Madari circuit, Artemis trail or Kaledonia falls trail. The villages nearby are also worth a visit. A very peaceful area. Without doubt I highly recommend the River house for a getaway in the mountains.

The garden is definitely the best feature of the house. We spent the majority of our time there — the hammock and the shade were fantastic, and the clean, open grass space was perfect for training my dog. I have seen some reviews mentioning that the mattress was hard — perhaps this is a personal preference, but I found it very comfortable to sleep! Plenty of extra blankets for the cool nights, too. Super clean house, has a lot of pottery, so cooking is easy if you wish to. The host is very friendly and I felt that my dog was totally welcome there, which was important to me. Will definitely come again!
