This a very touristic place. I was there 2 times, both in low season. In November the town is almost dead - no tourists, so, it is difficult to find a place to eat, but if you know where, it is a nice time to visit. The prices goes lower, beautiful beaches, nice hotels with spa. Highly recommend to visit in October-November.

An area that seems more British than Greek and sadly mostly closed up at the beginning of November apart from the pubs. The beaches are good with great swimming and snorkelling but extremely busy. Restaurants were generally disappointing although search hard and there are a few hidden taverns and coffee shops. Most buildings are concrete (not stone as in the villages, new build type), roads and transport links are good.

Great place for families or 30+ people.
Great place for families or 30+ people. It has plenty of good bars and restaurants but no under 30 craziness. You can get a drink at 2am but without any idiots. Never saw a drunk or out of control group in my 4 weeks there. If you want crazy go to Ayia Napa.
You want fun, friendly, beaches and a good evening life, go to Protaras.

Fantastic place, lots of bars, restaurants, good food, lively bars and some slightly quieter. Sports on at some of the bars for football etc. Some tribute acts (although not my thing) Elvis, Cher, Meatloaf etc etc etc.
Jokers square had a live band on most nights playing rock music, great bar, great food also and a friendly welcome.
Cheers bar brilliant for drinks and breakfasts, owner very friendly and great staff, inside area (you'll need it during the hot days) and an outside area for evening with live entertainments on some times.
Lots of other bars we enjoyed but cannot remember the names sorry.
There is a small bar on the beach that serves drinks in real melon and pineapple shells called the rising beach bar which is brilliant for a drink after a day at the beach.
Also a place called Zorbas which does great food and drinks, well worth a visit (near Fig Tree Bay-ish)
The whole area from end-to-end is about 1 mile walk (maybe less) so no need for transport really, however taxis are very expensive if you need to use them (sore knee so we used them a few times) circa 10 euros for what was about a 1 mile journey!
You can jump on a bus to Ayia Napa if that's your thing, I don't know how much though, but they are quite frequent.
We loved the place, but we have been 7 times!!

During my visit, my favorite places were the beach and the main street. I dined at the restaurants located along the main street. Navigating around Protaras was very easy. As for my next visit, there's nothing I would specifically avoid.

The beaches are superb and clean and safe but there crowds of people and in the evenings it can be noisy due to bars and restaurants in the central strip and the area is very commercialised, especially compared to how it used to be even 20 years ago.
A nice clean room with balcony and kind of a sea view (2nd floor in the building west to the road). Located remotely from crowded areas, which may be a plus or a minus depending on your wishes. Anyway Protaras and Agia Napa are easily accessible by 101/102 bus stopping just in front of the hotel. Nearest Konnos beach is definitely above average on Cyprus. Capo Greco is not far from and is worth visiting by a walk along the seashore. A lovely tavern with tasty cypriot cuisine is located in 10 min walk towards Protaras.
The hotel is super nice, rooms are clean and spaceous. We had towels changed regulary and every day cleaning of the room.
Pool is perfect and a beatuiful small beach is a 2min walking distance from the hotel.
We had late check out option and since we were travelling with a baby it was more than convinent! Besides, every part of the hotel is adjusted for a trolley, amazing!
The manager arranged us even the airport taxi!.
We will definitely come back!
The flat was a 1 bedroom sea view, with great views of the ocean and sunrise in the morning. The flat itself was fully equipped with good cooking facilities, nice comfortable beds with clean linen. The location was peaceful, there's a costal walk from the hotel towards either Protaras or south in the direction of Cape Greco, with plenty of small coves or beaches near the hotel to walk down to.
On arrival the reception staff were friendly and helpful.
The bar staff were great.
The room was vey clean and a good size, the water fall shower was lovely.
The food was nice, far better than other All Inclusive hotels in Cyprus.
The cocktails and bar snacks were great.
Breakfast was really good.
For the cost of this hotel it is brilliant and will definitely stay again.
Perfect hotel where you will find everything you need. Near one of the best beaches in Protaras. Very clean room with a comfortable bed, nice balcony, and a very elegant, spotlessly, clean bathroom. Delicious breakfast included in the price, a large selection of food. Staff is helpful and sympathetic. I highly recommend, I will come back again with pleasure
Good points:
- Friendly staff at reception and restaurant! Especially Dely - of the the waiters at the restaurant. He was very polite and smiley!
- Beachfront - hotel is right on the beach, one of the best beaches in Cyprus!
- Pool wasn't too busy - perhaps because a lot of guests prefer the beach or because there weren't enough sunbeds by the pool
The hotel was located in a quiet area, away from the night buzz. The apartment was old fashion, but clean and well equipped. Very good water pressure in the bathroom. The beach it is far away from the hotel. We`ve never been to the closest beach, as we had a car, so we traveled to Protaras and Ayia Napa. The owner and the staff were kind and helpful.
The food was excellent!! Every day something new to eat! We had all inclusive and it was perfect!! Staff really nice and friendly! Location is great, you just go 2 steps from hotel and you're on the beach! Overall we have nothing to claim!! I recomend also to go to Italian veranda restaurant which belong to Vrissaki beach - great food and service!!
If you have children don’t even think about it! Book this hotel! It is a very child friendly and has lots of activities during the day and night for the little ones! The waterpark was amazing even for my 2 year old!! The kids club is great we great staff! As for the food was excellent for an all inclusive hotel. Kid friendly menu every day!
Best hotel apartments in Protaras! Best location in the heart of Protaras. The cleanliness was brilliant and staff were excellent! Loved the clean pool and the food was amazing too! I’m so happy with the customer service! Thank you for making my holiday extra special! Will definitely recommend and will be returning next summer!
Exceptionally clean and modern facilities. The people who work there are exceptionally warm and genuine. Wonderful spa, gym, pool and beach. The rooms have smart technology. If you want to relax, this is the place to go. Every other hotel in Protaras will feel cheap and dirty in comparison to this one. Beautiful views.
The best and most varied hotel food I had so far (we had all inclusive). The rooms were big and comfortable. In the photos you can see a small beach in front, but I actually recommend a larger beach that’s about 100 m to the left, which is very child friendly. We really enjoyed our stat here.
It's a wonderful hotel, right on the best beach of Cyprus! The room was excellent, with lots of storage space, comfortable beds and pillows, all the staff was excellent, including the wonderful guys at the beach bar, the breakfast was also very good. We loved everything about it!
This hotel was fantastic, the friendliness of staff is second to none. The quality of food is superb for an all inclusive. The location is ideal, close enough to amenities but away from the hustle and bustle. You will not be disappointed with your stay here.
Iliada beach hotel is an old hotel with renovated, updated and comfortable rooms. Its prime beachfront location by Protaras and Fig Tree Bay, coupled with its proximity to the city centre, makes it an excellent value-for-money choice.
Alessandro has a very nice apartment, the location is great and very quiet, the view is stunning and we will definitely recommend it further on.
If we will come back to Cyprus, we will want to stay again at the same place.
I can not fault this resort. The staff are all exceptional. we extended our stay as we enjoyed it so much and upgraded to all inclusive which was one of the best choices of foods we have tried in a hotel. 5 star all round.
Great location to get around Protaras, the staff where all lovely and very helpful. The hotel was clean and had great facilities. Everything we needed for a lovely stay in Protaras whilst we were in Cyprus.
The hotel is located in the center of Protaras. The rooms are renovated and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was also combining cypriot and international cuisine.
