The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully, the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale facade of this Bohemian city intact.
Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.
Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.
The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.
Flights arriving at Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city center after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

The Old Town and Lesser Town, you can wander around non-stop, I especially recommend it at night. The smaller and further away from the center the restaurant, the more atmospheric it is. I recommend paying by card with an invoice in Czech crowns.

Prague is beautiful but it has crowd in Apr and afternoons, wear sturdy walking shoes and take note that old town has cobblestone roads, luggage may have difficulty handling.
Luxury goods shopping may be a good choice here, understood that tax refunds are approx. 15% for purchases above EU2k. It'll be better to change some Czech. Kuronas / change for use in toilets, markets where only cash is accepted. Kuronas also have better rates than paying in euros.

Be wary of people holding red umbrellas for hop on hop off bus, always go to the travel kiosk for tours bookings. If you go during week days it’s much quieter and less noisy and crowded at night in old town. Most convenient to stay in old town Prague 1 as everything is walking distance. Amazing history, friendly people.
Hard Rock Cafe and James Dean restaurants are a must, great food, great prices, lovely with families.

Seems like a great city with lots of people during the day...
Seems like a great city with lots of people during the day and night. So if sight seeing or weekend bar hopping It has a bit for everyone. I was there for a party thing for a friend so I did very little walking around during the day. It was a short trip. I loved how most everyone spoke English, that was good for me my Czech sucks. I meet 7 other Americans there just because, not there for work just checking it out. (some where cool, others not so much, I guess traveling around the world and talking to another American was stupid for them) I didn't really think about since I actually live in Europe. I met some great local people that wanted to talk politics. As any American I find this happens a lot to me. I never run from these conversations, but I hear a lot of Americans try to avoid because they are on holiday. But definitely want to return to Prague for a more calm trip.

We only stayed few days, and there’s so much explore.
We only stayed few days, and there’s so much explore. St Nicholas cathedral, cubist museum, and the jewish museum synagogues were highlights. We would have liked to explore mor of the parks the the west and north, and I think we could have stayed a little longer, but actually now we have a reason to return. Best dining experience was on the terrace of Vegan’s Prague with a view of the castle over the roofs. The other good spot for day time stop in, if I recall, was Baker shop in the Jewish quarter.

Great architecture in the old town, riverside and castle...
Great architecture in the old town, riverside and castle areas. All of which are walkable at a very leisurely pace. Excellent array of bars, tavernas and food choice, especially if you wished to explore the myriad of side streets and find a hidden gem or two.
Avoid unbooked taxi pick ups, or agree a price first. Same with checking your change from official street vendors…definite elements of scamming and innocent expressions when I caught them out on two separate occasions. However, this didn’t distract from a great city to spend time in and enjoy what it has to offer. Just have your wits about you…which is hard with the great beer!
A hotel with kind of small rooms, in a quiet area of Prague. Very clean rooms, very, very polite and helpful staff. The breakfast is really good, wi-fi very good. Tram and bus are close, you can reach city center on foot, too, approx. 2 km. But you'd rather use public transportation, you have a lot to walk around, no use to get there already tired. Restaurants and markets in the area, way cheaper than those in the old town. Looking at the prices versus what the hotel offers, is one of the best places to stay in Prague.
Perfect service, very kind personal, very central position. View on the most iconic building in Prague. I have to mention Jana and Anastasiia. They are absolutely professional and very kind. At the end we got a voucher , coffee and souvenir. Who does this to you nowadays ok Praga? And don’t forget the price. It’s amazing. We will definitely return here and spend some nice moments. Keep doing in this way! Josephine Old Town Square Hotel is an example for all the hotels in Praha. Cheers!
The hotel is essentially a brand new hotel, it was very close to the city center and a walking distance of local amenities, Old Town Square was essentially a 11 minute walk from there. List of food places nearby with a pop up food market about a 8 minute walk from the hotel.
The decor is very modern and colorful, has a minimalist feel to it and great furniture placings. The breakfast was really good, and satisfying for just €10.
Room was lovely, overlooking a small square and you could see church towers. The walls are 2 feet thick so very quiet. Reception desk staff were wonderful! Iana was very helpful. We loved the welcome gifts, very thoughtful.
Location of the hotel is perfect. We easily walked everywhere. It is only 75 yards from the old town square. Would definitely stay there, room 22, again.
Breakfast buffet was remarkable.
Hotel Lippert is in the Old Town Square where evrything is! You cant beat waking up every morning with the view of the Old Town Square with bells ringing from churches around the square! The astronomical clock is just a few hops away like not even 50 steps…. The big window from the room and even from the bathroom is the best!!!! Breakfast is good and elevator is available!!!!
The room was great -very spacious and comfortable mattress- and the location of the hotel is perfect! Super close to the old town square! The area is full of bars, restaurants, and ice cream shops, and the metro stop Mustek is literally a 3 minutes walk away. The wifi was a bit of an issue- the signal was very poor. Everyone working in the hotel is very friendly and helpful.
This is a gem of a hotel in Prague. The room was large and comfortable, breakfast was hearty and service was wonderful. The best thing about it was the location, right next to Old Town Square and Charles Bridge very close by. We easily walked to all the tourist attractions - they were only 20 minutes away at the most. Nice restaurants and shops also were close by.
The hotel is located in a quieter area but still only 15 minute walk to old town square. located right around the block from a 4 story mall (Palladium) and close to a Starbucks. There is an excellent Argentinian restaurant located next door with cozy atmosphere as well as a nice late night wine bar with great selection of wines
Breakfast had a great selection and was very good food.
The room was spacious, clean and had air conditioning. The beds are also very comfortable.
The hotel was located very close to major tourist attractions including a 5 min walk from Charles Bridge, the Old Town Square and only 15 mins from the main train station.
Large room with spacious beds, simple and clean. Close location to most places in the city centre. Easy 5 - 10 minute walk to Old Town Square and from there you can go pretty much anywhere with plenty of travel options. There is a restaurant at the hotel but there are also plenty of places to eat in the area.
Everything. If I could rate this hotel as 20/10 I would. The location is simply amazing - right on the old town square. Literally a few minutes by foot to each direction to reach all of the city’s famous sights. The breakfast is truly magnificent. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended!!!!
beautiful hotel, busy but not too busy - great breakfast selection and nice bar/restaurant - easy access to the old town square, very helpful staff and a few nice complimentary touches - and best of all they rearranged the booking several times due to the pandemic with no quibbles whatsoever.
The location was perfect, our bedroom looked straight out onto the Old Town Square and its famous clock tower. We liked the historic features of the room, lovely to hear the clock chime on the hour and look down on the crowds watching. Made a nice change from modern nondescript chain hotels.
This is my second experience in Grandium hotel. Hotel is perfect. Location, price, cleanness, breakfast, room were excellent. It is close to old town and city center by walk. Undoubtedly this is the best 5 star centrally hotel in Prague with this price.
The location is very good. I got there from the airport by public transportation without much hassle. One can walk to the Old Town Square and Charles Bridge within minutes. The hotel has been recently renovated and facilities are very clean and modern.
One the best location to stay in Prague i appreciate the hotel staff and there welcome style specially. Its on very prime location 2 minutes walk only to old town square and famous places in Prague. I would recommend everyone.
very good, very good breakfast. good rooms and comfortable. very good location. 10 to 15 minutes walk to old town square. a lot of restaurants, cafes , shops and mini markets are nearby. A big mall is close to the hotel.
The hotel was in the middle of the city (can get to old town square in 5 mins) and all the staff was very friendly and accommodative. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, perfect for a long weekend stay.
The location is amazing- you are literally 3 minutes from the old town square and 10 minutes from The Charles Bridge. Couldn’t recommend the location of the hotel enough!
