Janske Lazne is a ski resort which is not very suitable for beginners, in the sense that there are relatively few blue slopes. They do have beginner area's, but they are not in the main area, 5 minutes by bus away from the Gondola. The Gondola only takes 7 minutes and you have a nice 10-15 minute downhill (skiing average). Friendly people and good restaurants on the slopes. The number of restaurants in the village itself is limited. But overall a good and cheaper option than the Alps.IreneNetherlands - 10Scored 10

Janské Lásně seems to be ok for skiing trips as you have a variety of possibility for skiing (Cerna Hora, Ped pod Snezkou, Mala Upa) - at least reachable by ski bus. We were there for hiking in winter time, so we cannot judge the ski conditions. There is no shopping possibilities in the location but 1 Intersport, the party mood on Silvester was quite small.

There was a private equipped kitchen and private bathroom. Towels were provided. It has a great heating system and temperature was very comfortable even though outside was around -10C. The owner was very nice and well organised although it was challenging I don't speak Czech and the owner can't communicate in english easily. It is in good location close to several ski lines.MichalPoland
