The charm of this enchanting fairy tale city in the Czech Republic is best experienced during winter when snow covers magical Český Krumlov Castle. Lying along the banks of the Vltava River, the historic old town comes alive during summer when cafes and restaurants overflow with the influx of tourists.
The castle makes an imposing backdrop against narrow cobblestone streets and a mixture of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture in its old buildings. Choose an art gallery, museum or theatre like the 17th-century
Castle Baroque Theatre, located inside the castle’s beautiful gardens.
Walking around Český Krumlov’s historic streets is a journey back in time, and the best way to soak up its Bohemian atmosphere. Your walk can be easily interrupted at one of the many cafés, restaurants and bars serving local dishes and drinks.

Picturesque place,.it is a.must to.visit it, it is maybe my fifth time I come as it is a unique.place.
There are many places.to.go.for a walk, you only need to.go.and discover them!
There is an area with supermarkets out of.town but yoi.can go there on foot. However, If you don't have time for that walk, you will find some potraviny shops in town which are open till.late.
It is better to.go.in.summer because everytjing is open all day and you can explore.the place.in the day light.
You will feel you are in a fairy tale

I hope I never have to see Český Krumlov again.
I hope I never have to see Český Krumlov again. If so, I'll stay in a campsite (though the penzion wasn't the problem); much better to visit on a canoe trip. Hideously high prices and and as few locals as in Venice. Gigabites of fake Instagram grins and very little of real interest. The Art Centre was a disappointment with few originals from Egon Schiele but the food: I have never seen so much profiteering with so little by way of quality or service culture. The travel hostel was the exception, though I hesitate to write this down unless it sees fit to gouge prices.
I liked the river and some of the walks. And it irritated me less on a Wednesday when many tourists had left.

In this period of the year the little town is very calmy and silent. Only bad experience that most of the sights and the museum were closed at this time. There not so much to do, I found it very bad from tourist side. Xmas decorations are only now to come, however in the neighborhood in Budovice the main square was full with decoration and Xmas fair. Lot of bars was closed, there was not so much to do there at this time. Thus this the city is wonderful, the castle area geourgeos, but we loved to check the old theatre or the tower.

What a wonderful experience to visit and stay in this...
What a wonderful experience to visit and stay in this charming village. To think just a few months earlier we never even heard of this gem. Such a beautiful place. Visiting in mid-October was perfect after learning that the warmer months get so crowded. We never had an issue with crowds, and oftentimes found ourselves alone, even on the castle grounds. So many great restaurants and shops to patronize and the people so friendly. St. Vitus Church is definitely worth visiting, as well as the synagogue, and of course the castle and grounds. Meander down the small alleys and bridges for beautiful views wherever you look.

One of the most beautiful places in the world!
One of the most beautiful places in the world!
Everyone is helpful
Caution! you need:
- comfortable platform boots (stone streets in the city)
- backpack or bag is better than suitcase
- cash!!!
Eat at Kafemlejnek, Barvirna, Krumlovsky Mlyn, Krcma U dwau Maryi.
Do not feed the bears!
The staff was incredibly helpful and kind to us. The location of the hotel was perfect if you travelled by car, because the P1 parking is very close and you can pay for it in the hotel, making it very simple and relatively cheap to park in the city centre which would be difficult otherwise. The rooms were clean and most of them were spacious, only one was very small but the balcony it had to the river and the castle made up for that.
The breakfast was perfect, everyone could find something they like and the food was delicious.
Absolutely exceptional property. Surely there can't be a better place to stay in Cesky Krumlov?! It's right in the centre of town in a classic old building. Everything is an easy walk. The apartment is very charming and everything is newly refurbished and comfortable. Even though you're in the centre of town it feels very quiet as you're high enough above the chaos of the streets. There is a lovely view of the castle bridge out the window. We loved everything about this stay.
Me, my wife and our 8 months old daughter had a wonderful experience. Beautiful, lovely and cozy boutique hotel which I strongly recommend… Whoever wants to go to the Cesky Krumlov, definitely should put this hotel in their list for staying. Beamish and helpful staff, nicely decorated rooms, odorous candles, romantic atmosphere, wonderful breakfast (delicious white yogurts and scrambled eggs btw :)), all in all this place make you feel like you’re at home…
The location is nearby the bus terminal, within a few minutes walk. Due to its location which is at the entrance of Cesky Krumlov, this would be a good news for traveller who carrying wheeled luggage because you only need to walk on the cobblestone road for a very short distance. Everything needed such as food and drinks as well as attractions are available within a few minutes walk too. Very fast WiFi speed, good for remote-working traveller too.
The Pension was actually closed on the day we booked, so we were upgraded to a room in their hotel (Hotel Grand), which is located right in the town centre! My review is therefore for the Hotel Grand, and NOT for the Pension Vlatvín.
The room was very spactious, the bathroom was also very big. Although the hotel is on the main square, the room was very quiet. The bed was extremely comfy, and the breakfast buffet was amazing! 10/10
Simply perfect from check-in to check-out. The rooms were beautiful, quiet, and comfortable. Location was absolutely awesome. You are in the heart of Cesky Krumlov. Tour groups can make the streets busy during the day. Once the sun goes down, the town is yours. I love it. We picked a restaurant in the center of town and enjoyed an excellent bottle of wine. Gotta do that again soon.
More than a room it was a full size studio with balcony and upper floor with a sleeping room.
The balcony was a nice surprise, spacious, with a view of the rooftops.
Even being in the heart of Ceský Krumlov it was pretty quiet as windows were facing the inner backyard.
Breakfast was ok with various choices between salty and sweet in the close hotel.
George @ reception was cool and advised us on places to go etc and Paul in Hotel restaurant was so helpful and friendly as well.
The hotel is awesome, next to the river, plenty of space and is right in the heart of the unbeliveable town of Cesky Krumlov. I would recommend 2 days to enjoy the cobble stone adventure
I am extremely discerning when it comes to selecting hotels. The room, including the bathroom, surpassed my expectations in terms of cleanliness. The location was superb, and the staff were friendly and kind. I relished a tranquil and comfortable stay. Without a doubt, I would choose to stay at this hotel again.
beautiful place on the river, close enough to walk into to heart of Cesky Krumlov but in a quieter neighborhood away from tourist crowds. Tastefully decorated with cute details and kind host.
Delicious macaroons from the host :) The host was easily reachable and responds quickly.
The attitude of the service staff is extremely bad. I even suspect that the service staff has serious racial discrimination. They are not polite at all and use a commanding tone. This is the hotel with the worst impression of the Czech Republic and it is not recommended
This hotel is located right in the middle of the old medieval part of town. It was a really great stay. close to great restaurants, stores, bars, a castle and the river. The room was up some stairs but was very nice! We would highly recommend this hotel and area!
A lovely place in the center of the old town. The hotel is in a historic building in the center of Cesky Krumlov. The room was quite idyllic and the breakfast was very good. You have the option to park in the courtyard for a price which is very convenient.
HostelSkippy is a very friendly hostel, we were met by an extremely kind staff and the room was just beautiful! We had a view directly at the river and we couldn't have asked for a better stay at Cesky Krumlov! Thank you.
Fantastic 3 star hotel set in a quiet area of Cesky Krumlov. Staff were outstanding in their attitude and friendliness. As they say in Europe "Super"!!!!!
