FrancePerfect, what I would expect from a Best Western. Excellent staff especially putting up with my dodgy German. Breakfast was good. Beds comfortable. Very clean. If you are stopping for more than one night take advantage of the Magdeburg tourist card. It'll get you free bus and tram travel to the hotel.

Around the hotel, there are Italian restaurant (Amici) and Greek restaurant (Metaxa). I recommend both restaurants. The owners are very friendly and food quality was quite good. For my son he enjoyed watching sports programs on TV (Sky sports).
