Ferienhaus in Hinterzarten is a perfect stop for a gateway from your busy city life. It’s just next to the Schwarzwald and the nature, the house is literally just bordering with the Black Forest of Freiburg. Although we checked in out of check in hours, Anna was very helpful with clear and timely instructions. Our home was very spacious and equipped with all the kitchen utensils. Anna (the host) also provided us with public transport pass covering all Freiburg region for all of us, which was provided at no extra cost. I believe it was provided by the Freiburg Municipality, because as a guest you are charged 2.90 EUR city tax per night. Our house was very close to the Hinterzarten train station and we travelled to the Freiburg city center by train with the provided public transport pass, leaving our car at the Ferienhaus.
