The town has everything for a weekend stay. A good selection of shops, restaurants and coffee places. The market square has seats for relaxing and watching the world go by. The palace and gardens are a real gem. There are tours of the building and the gardens offer a chance to relax in a scented environment

We were on an ancestry discovery trip, so the location was convenient to some of the little towns I wanted to explore. Didn't really do any of the touristy things in Ludwigsburg, but did visit the town's square and had a great German dinner at one of the restaurants (Ratskiller).

The Palace and grounds are well worth a visit. Public transport is very affordable and efficient and within easy walking distance of the Hotel. The place was excellent.
The place was excellent. My bed was very comfy and it was cleaned daily. I was very impressed. They should take budget from their name, because I felt like I was in a five star hotel. There are several restaurants only a few steps away, and the train station is right across the street. The station contains eateries and grocery stores. Just plain convenient.

Our dog was welcomed with bowls and a blanket set up in our room upon arrival and she thoroughly enjoyed our walks around the lake, while I enjoyed birding. As for the hotel, the beds were comfortable, the shower nice and roomy, the staff friendly and the scrambled eggs and waffles delicious. A wonderful place to stay in Ludwigsburg and don't forget to bring your pet and your binoculars!
