I'm a bit biased as my mother and grandmother are from Paderborn but I had not been there for quite a few years, so I wanted to see the Christmas market. That was amazing beautiful lighting great shopping loads of things to eat. You need to visit the Dome and other churches around the area as they are lovely, nothing like them in the UK. I will definately be going back there to see Libori in the summer. Lots of places to eat, lovely walk around the Paderquelle and the gardens

Paderborn has quite a variety of ethnic restaurants.
Paderborn has quite a variety of ethnic restaurants. The Indian cuisine is above average. There are plenty of bus stops with frequent stops. The buildings and architecture are beautiful. The parks are fairly clean with few bums and beggars. Seems like a nice family city. The public pools are clean and friendly. The underbelly seems a much smaller section of town than normal for the Ruhr region. Very above average overall!

The Alte Rezidenz cafe/diner is a short 5 minute walk on the high street. Nice food and drink, not expensive.
Backerie Lange is also near for breakfast or a coffee & cake.

quick tour thru the area to see where my mom lived after WW2
highlight was Gut Ringelsbruch where my mom and her family lived and worked for a few years - ate at the restaurant which is located in the barn where my mom lived & worked as a child
food & service & location was AMAZING
This is a hotel run by the Catholic Church and it's a delight. Huge, wide corridors and spacious comfortable rooms. Breakfast only €9 per person, which put Ibis and others to shame.
Paderborn is a nice enough place, but I'm afraid the RAF made a huge mess of it in 1945 and the rebuilding effort can only be described as a partial success. Good range of restaurants though and nice, like nearly all modern German towns
Good location in paderborn and within walking distance of lots of restaurants in the town. Lots of parking which felt safe for our motorcycles that we were touring on. Rooms were clean and tidy and good value for money. The restaurant was closed when we stayed so can't comment on how good this may have been.
The accommodations at this chain of hotel is very basic. However it is clean and functional and efficient. If you're looking for a comfortable place to stay that is typically close to transportation it's a good choice
Beautiful hotel set in its own grounds. Private parking off-road. Shops, restaurants, cafes and castle just down the road, and supermarkets within easy walking distance. Lovely, comfortable room and very clean.
There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this hotel. Clean room and bathroom, comfortable beds, pleasant, helpful and friendly staff. No complaints whatsoever. Will happily recommend and use again
Great location, perfect for a stroll in Altstadt Paderborn, amazing breakfast buffet with all you can think of, patio for breakfast and dinner outside and much more...
